A few hours later and everyone was now back in the club, except George and Isabella who were back at his room, likely arguing over her being here.
However Matt had decided to not let the occurrence with Brent ruin his night. He should have known that man wouldn’t be far behind, trying to cause trouble for them, or just him himself for the decisions he had decided to make.
When Brent had found out Matt was never working for him, only against, he had lost it and ever since then Matt had sworn to keep out of his way to prevent any further problems. Unfortunately that didn’t look like it was going to happen while here in Vegas.
“I’m getting Juliet and Nessa.” Steph perked up, looking over to where they were sat at the bar, chatting amongst themselves away from the whole party scene that was likely to erupt. “They look lonely.”
“Steph, don’t.” Matt warned, knowing the last thing they would want was to get involved in what was going to be an evening of drinking games. It wasn’t their thing and they had made that very clear.
But she didn’t listen, she headed over to the bar and began guiding the girls to the table where they were all sat.
“Team one, me, Jess and Jay… and Nessa, you can join too.” She looked in her direction. “And, Juliet, you can join Matt, Kitty, and Kye.”
“I’m going to pass, put Abbie on your team.” Jess laughed, avoiding eye contact with Jay who was looking at her with a knowing look.
Shaking her head and frowning at him, he signalled with his head for her to follow him off to the side. Sighing she mouthed ‘fine’ before they both stood by a wall while the others set up the drinks.
“Another one?” Jay looked to her accusingly while her eyes widened.
“What?”
Laughing he shook his head, looking over to the bar and then back to Jess.
“You can act like you don’t know what the hell I’m talking about, but you turning down a drink means only one thing.”
Pulling her bottom lip into her mouth, she tried not to smile but no matter how hard she tried she couldn’t prevent it.
“I hate you.”
“So I’m right? You’re pregnant.”
Jay was surprisingly calm, whether it was the alcohol already in his system or he had generally just got use to this now, he didn’t seem as furious as she expected him to be.
“Maybe… yes.” She smiled, crossing her arms over her chest.
“You’re fucking good at getting out of the dirty work since being a part of this gang Montague, I applaud you.” He laughed.
It was never the reason it happened but obviously while she was pregnant Jay would never let her do anything too dangerous, due to the fact he actually had a heart buried in there somewhere. Lately it seemed like she was constantly pregnant and he couldn’t help but find it amusing how little time she spent doing work, compared to how much he was paying her.
“You can’t tell anyone Jay, seriously.” She warned. “It wasn’t planned and Jack doesn’t even know yet.”
“You’re joking?” He looked every little bit of shocked that he had been the only one to figure it out. “You just came out here without telling him?”
“No.” She shook her head quickly. “I had suspicions for a while and I confirmed it today. I haven’t had chance to speak to him yet.”
“Well shit.” Jay laughed. “Congrats and all that, but don’t expect any of us waiting on you hand and foot out here. You should go home.”
