I don't know how long I've been in this cell. I know it hasn't been a month yet, but I don't know what day or week it is. My vision hasn't come back at all. I can't even tell really since my cell is pitch black. It still burns to the point it's hard to blink or even close them.
I can still hear them. The fire and the screams of everyone. It keeps replaying in my head on an endless loop. The other quiet sobs that filled the hallway didn't make it any better; they sounded just like them. It tormented me to my very core. I felt tears begin to form in my eyes making my eyes begin to sting. I wiped them away quickly, but the sting was still there.
"You led me straight to it", Zahir's words were replayed in my head. That grief was soon replaced with hatred, burning hatred. I lifted my hand up till my open palm was facing my face. Then I closed my balled my fist tightly.
"Family by blood or no blood I will kill you", Zahir", I sneered at myself asI made the declaration. I heard my cell door open making me jump to my feet. I held my arms up in a defense position. I felt someone grab me by my head and throw me to the ground. I didn't bother getting up just curled into a ball. As the guards sent numerous kicks at me. One kick was able to land on my stomach making me shout in pain. The guards laughed at me then left the cell, closing it behind them. I laid on the ground letting out shallow breaths then soon went to passed out from the pain.
I was sitting at the table by myself eating the prison food slop. My vision hasn't gone away, but everything is blurry. I can make out figures and faces if up close to me. I forced myself to eat the food to keep my strength and stamina. I rather not die in my cell from hunger.
As I was about to take a bite I heard someone slapping somebody. I looked over to see a huge dude talking to a prisoner being her by the other prisoners. The person being held had bright pink hair, it reminded me of that girl from the other day.
"So what you say fresh meat", the bigger prisoner sneered down at her. "...Fuck you", she spat. The guy laughed along with a few others then began sending punches straight into her stomach and face. She couldn't fight back since two other prisoners were holding her up by her arms. I gripped my fork then placed it on the table. I picked up my metal tray, dumping the rest of the slop onto the table. I stood up from the table then began charging at the bigger prisoner. I side stepped leaping on the table using it as a booster. I leapt into the air holding the tray over my head then slammed it on top of the guy's head. I heard him crash onto the ground. I landed on the ground letting out pants. Someone grabbed me by my shoulder making me turn around. One of the prisoners that was holding the girl sent a punch into my cheek. I fell onto my back. He grabbed me by my collar ready to send another one, but was slugged by the pink hair girl. The guy released me as he fell to the side slamming his head on a nearby table. I looked over at him then back at her.
"You're that girl", she huffed, holding her hand out towards me. I looked at her then grabbed it letting her pull me to my feet. "Yeah it's me", I replied. "Saved me again yet again", she stated. "It's no problem really", I mumbled rubbing my cheek. All she did was smirk at me slightly.
Suddenly an alarm began to ring, making me look towards the entrance. A bunch of prison guards began to flood in rushing towards us.
"You up for a few more rounds", she asked, getting in her fighting position. "I got your back", I replied, grabbing the metal tray off the ground. We then charged at the many prison guards. Of course, we didn't win, but we beat up at least a few of them.
I sat up against the prison wall, my body hurt all over. If I looked in a mirror my body would be covered head to toe in bruises.
"Looks like we're neighbors", the pink-haired girl said. I noticed it was just her voice, no others. No sounds of crying or cursing, just silence.
"Did they move us", I hissed in pain. "Yeah...you alright", she asked, making me chuckle. "Me? I swear I saw you get kicked in the face", I chuckled. "Pretty sure I kicked the guy", she replied. "Sure yeah", I sighed. "...I'm Vi", she introduced. ".....Y/n L/n", I replied. "Why did you hesitate", she asked. " I don't think I deserve to be called by that last name", I confessed. "How come", she asked. "I got my family killed because of my dream to explore, and now I'm sure to rot in this fucking prison cell", I ranted. "What are you in here for", she asked. "Framed, by some guy with a nasty scar over his eye, I forgot his name", I explained. "Was it Silco", she asked quickly. "I think so I don't know", I replied. She went quiet soon after I answered her. Before I went to speak I could hear her crying.
"Do you know him", I asked. "He killed him, Vander", she hissed in a hate filled tone. I could hear her trying to quiet her sobs, but she failed to. "I'm going to fucking kill him", she declared. "When I get out of here I'm going to find him", she sneered. "And powder, I'll save her", she added. "Who's powder", I asked. "...My sister", she answered.
I remained quiet after her answer. I started thinking about Zahir. I could visualize my father's body, it was like a picture implanted in my head. Silco I had no problem with just Zahir. He killed my father, my family, he destroyed my home. I refuse to die until my arrow, wooden or metal ,pierced him in the heart.
"I'll help you", I mumbled. "What", she asked. "I'll help you find him when we get out of here", I repeated. "Why", she asked. "Like earlier, I got your back", I replied. She let out a loud sigh.
"Hm alright angel", she sighed. "Angel? My name is Y/n", I corrected, she stayed quiet. "Vi", I asked, no answer she must've gone to sleep. I shook my head then sat there waiting for sleep to take over me.
