I was trying to see the time on the wall not too far away from our table. When I went to squint my eyes a burning sensation sprouted throughout my head making me grip my eyes and dropping my spoon.
"It happened again", Vi asked. "Yeah", I said trying to calm myself down by taking deep breaths. Once the pain eased up a bit I removed my hand from my eyes. "Not like we can see a doctor in here", I scoffed eating a spoon full of the slop off my plate. Vi was quiet for a while so I stopped eating to look up at her. I could see she had a frown on her face while she swirled her food around with her spoon.
"Vi I'm fine I just have to get use to it", I said. "Still", she sighed. "Least I don't have to see the warden clearly, bet I could make this slop look like his face", I joked making her chuckle a bit. I smiled at her then went back to eating.
"When we get out we'll find a doctor", she said. "It may be too late by that time", I replied looking down at my plate. "I'm serious Y/n", she said making me look up at her. "We'll find someone in the undercity or even Piltover if we have to", she explained. "Vi focus on finding your sister when we get out first", I sighed. "I know, but if we come across someone along the way we're getting your eyes fixed, okay", she declared. I stared at her then nodded my head. "Yeah okay", I replied. She shoved a spoonful of the slop into her mouth then cringed at it.
"Fuck I don't know how you eat this stuff", she groaned with a mouthful of slop. I smiled at her while she forced herself to eat the food. I think that's when I first started falling for her unconsciously.
We were walking through an abandoned part of the undercity that led back to the surface. It was filled with a bunch of green fireflies. It was bunch enough to light up the whole tunnel.
"What are they", Caitlyn asked. "We call them firelights, never seen so many though", Vi answered. After a while of walking we climbed up to the top. We climbed out of the opening where some huge gears were placed on the side of the bridge that led to Piltover. It was foggy so I couldn't see as well. As we're walking Vi suddenly stopped making us look back at her.
"I can't leave her again", she said."You can't change her", Ekko stated. "I have to try", she replied. "Don't get yourself killed", Ekko sighed walking towards her and bringing her into a quick hug. "No promises", she said then broke the hug. Caitlyn frowned at her, but still walked towards her and gave her a hug.
"Thanks for everything", Vi said. Caitlyn nodded her head then broke the hug and stepped away. Sucks I didn't get a hug from either of them. Vi turned towards me about to bring me into a hug.
"What are you doing", I questioned stepping away from her. "Saying goodbye", she answered lowering her arms. "What no I'm going with you", I chuckled, she just shook her head. "You're going with them", she stated. "No I'm not, I promise to have your back Vi", I said. "And you promise if we find a chance to heal your eyes you would take it", she retorted. "They are going to Piltover, it'll have the best doctors there", she explained.
