"What is it?" agad na tanong ko. I have a hunch, but there's still a difference confirming it.
"Sirens," she answered.
Sirens. So it was true then. They have the ability to attract people through their voices.
Napalingon ako sa karagatan. I gulped and looked around me with a serious gaze. To think that I would meet sirens like this. I wonder what they look like. Hindi ko kasi sila makita sa kalagitnaan ng fog.
Narinig ko nalamang ang sumunod na mga boses nila sa karagatan. They sound like an angels. But...what's with this weird creeping I'm feeling? Also, this is such a creepy ship graveyard.
"Seems like they're not...friendly," I said, smiling.
Lisandrei let out a low laugh.
"They're probably cannibals. They might eat us alive," chill niyang sagot. Napapikit ako dahil doon.
Baka...kakainin talaga kami... Imbis na isda ang kakainin, sila na ang kakain sa amin.
God, if you're listening. I was kidding when I said I want to meet sirens. Parang nakakatakot nga sila. Hindi ata nagbibiro yung mga sailors at yung mga matatanda.
We stood up, ready to fight.

The Informant took hold on the front. Nagkatinginan naman kami ni Lisandrei.
"Be careful," smiled Lisandrei.
"Lolo," ako naman. "Ingat ka."
We were worried. Baka kasi may osteoporosis siya. Baka bigla-bigla nalang sasakit likod niya, wala kaming haplas o kung ano. Siya lang kasi doon. Siya lang magha-handle.
The seas went silent once again. Everything seems so still and calm. If the tales about the siren are true. Then, totoo bang nakokontrol nila ang mga kalalakihan sa kagustuhan nila?
I glanced at Mason, who seemed to be back to himself now.
"Ugh, sirens," reklamo niya.
He looked so tired as he sat on the floor, panting. Parang nilabanan niya ang kapit sa kanya ng mga boses ng sirena. Then I got curious.
"Tell me, Mason, are their voices really captivating?"
Nangunot naman ang noo niya sa tanong ko.
"I mean, I'm not a guy," I added while smirking at him as he suffered trying to control himself. Iritado niya akong hinarap.
"Now's not the time, crippled Himeko—"
"I just asked, Ma-son," I said. Pronouncing his name differently.
He sighed. Kami nalamang dalawa dito sa top deck dahil pumunta sa ibaba si Lisandrei upang i-inform ang mga kasama namin. Ulric's probably talking his sister out of this. Preventing Seref to go up. Si Seref kasi, gustong tumulong kung may laban. Etong si Ulric naman, he's not taking any risks. He get serious when it's his little sister we're talking about.
