Ancient EonChaos ravaged the lands long before peace. For land and power, Dragons, Elves, Dwarves, Animas, and other Mystics fought. That's what I gather from the scriptures and carved messages on Grave Reef's walls.
"Whoever rises as the victor shall have the world under his feet."
Whoever said that had no idea how the world would turn out for dominance. I have found the exact words written in Old Arlantian in ruins past the mountains of Viognier.
These powerful beings with different beliefs and faiths frequently disagree. Humans bear the brunt of the consequences of these religious conflicts. These disagreements resulted in a century-long war that history has largely forgotten.
Even if humans live quietly in the past and have no connection to the problem, the consequences of war will primarily affect them.
Well, even if there isn't any war, they will always be toppled down by beings stronger than them. Elves could massacre a village. Animas could hunt them. A single Dragon could wipe out an entire town. These fearsome creatures terrorized the upper continent, driving humans to flee to other parts of the world. Some brave humans still stayed. Whoever they are, they're strong-willed and are willing to live in that hell. Not only strong-willed but also strong. It astounds me to find scriptures describing humans who killed dragons, a tribe led by Ashmedai.
One scripture also speaks of the seven humans who were strong enough to threaten the strongholds of the powerful beings. The Seven Heroes: Hou Zhen of the Xianyuan, Sakhmet of Sadevah, Heriolf of Ashmedai, Nobunaga of Honshu, Gabriela del Sud of Yemeco, Vesna of Mavika, Taariq al-Saab of Sariyah.

Tribe of GarzalahDragons, Animas, and Elves of the Ancient Eon made the upper continent a battlefield. Small disputes turned bigger and bigger as decades passed. Their minor problems devastated the entire planet and turned it into a wasteland.
The Tribe of Garzalah, people of the West, migrated further West. I found traces of texts in Atlantis, one that speaks of a civilization nourished without a God. I thought I might die, to be honest. The seas of the Devil's Triangle were so harsh and violent! I have more information gathered in a different volume regarding this sea. I think there's something in the waters that disrupts the surrounding environment of the Devil's Triangle. Though, good thing I have a key to venture into the ruins beneath the seas.
Getting back to the matter at hand...
It was the descendants of the Tribe of Garzalab that reached another piece of land, untouched and undamaged by the cruelties of the superior beings. Still, despite this safe haven, the environment was too harsh for normal humans to live in. I am beginning to think they're referring to Althera. Its environment is too harsh for an average human like me. I was residing in Althera, searching for ancient texts and ruins to study—which led me to Atlantis.
I finally took a break from Althera. That place suffocates me. It's difficult to breathe with that much mana concentrated all over the place! I will propose to the Professors that the Academy conduct a study on Althera. Then, perhaps, we can learn more about its history and how it came to be a haven for nature's gifts. Locals claim that this is where the World Tree germinates. Anyway, that's difficult to believe. According to myths, the World Tree is said to be the largest tree in the world. I don't see any large trees around here.
