"Fated enemies."
~※~

How frustrating.

Dreaming the same dream. Seeing glimpses of faces. Hearing voices. Seeing visions of sceneries.

"The food are already re-stock..." I mumbled.

Next...

The affairs with the locals were well-established. Some of them are still afraid of us Asmodians, however, they have no violent reactions to any of us.

After settling the papers and approving some requests, I decided to sleep.

"Off to sleep?" he asked. Dala-dala nito ang isang lamp na may luminous stone. A device from our homeland. These devices are made by those inventors—Alchemists—from Arlanta. There's a famous Academy in the Capitol that promotes machinery and—the study of magic ores. These ores are said to be absorbing mana from the world. The deeper they are, the more exposed they are to the pressure and mana of the world.

"My work is done," I answered as I crooked my head to the left and massaged my neck.

"Finally," he let out a sigh of relief. He was finally free from the burdens of staying out late. "Buong araw ka diyang nakakulong. You need rest, Void."

"How're the kids?" I asked while walking towards my room.

"Obviously asleep, it's already three o'clock in the damn morning," pagod niyang sagot at napahikab sabay suklay ng buhok gamit ang kanyang mga daliri.

Three in the morning...

I did not bother to leave a reply and just proceed to enter my resting chamber after a few flights of stairs. Engim did not bother to initiate a topic as well. We were already tired and it was already nearing dawn. Hindi na nakayanan ng enerhiya niyang magsalita at dumaldal.

As I entered my dimly lighted room, all I saw was the mess of my table and some books lying here and there. The kids have probably entered the place—and they didn't clean up.

I did not bother to pick up the books and let them be. They'll fix those up by themselves. Besides, I was too tired to do so and went to sleep after I changed clothes.

The moment I lay down, I immediately stood up afterward.

Her scent was still there... It was already changed a few times.

"Why is it still there..."

I went to my table and started to pick up work that does not necessarily require my attention.

This situation was too much... Obsessing over a scent is not normal. Should I ask the Elders?

No... They're all annoying and they'll just try to bring up marriage again and have me forget of things. It's a headache.

These past few days, there are these strange dreams I always encounter. It all started because of her scent. The longer I become exposed to that scent...the more it becomes familiar.

But we have never met before...

My thoughts were busy trying to find answers to these mysterious visions while also being distracted by papers, reviewing them for errors—if there were any. I hope there is. I wish for more errors. Let me forget her.
