We successfully infiltrated the underground auction place. Madilim ang paligid at yung tanging stage lamang ang may ilaw.

Everyone is wearing masks, pati rin kami—which were stolen. Yep, we stole it.

We took seats on the back. Unang bidding ay yung mga artifacts and some weird relics. Akala ko yun lang yun pero biglang nag bago ang bini-bid.

What happened next had me confused and surprised.

It was a creature. They are bidding on a living creature.

"The next thing we have here is a 13-year-old Anima! Bidding starts at 2000!" sigaw nung lalakeng may mask sa stage.

It wasn't a thing, nor any other-worldly things. It was a child covered in bruises and wounds.

Napahinga na lamang ako ng malalim at umiwas ng tingin sa stage. The child was crying and begging. Sumasakit yung dibdib ko habang umaalingaw-ngaw sa lugar na ito ang boses nito.

"Lisandrei, anong ibig sabihin ng Asmodian at Anima?" hindi ko maiwasang itanong. I'm familiar with us humans and Mystics. Pero sa ibang races, hindi pa ako kabisado.

Natahimik naman siya saglit at gulat na tinignan ako.

"Just tell me already!" sigaw na bulong ko rin.
