Just like any other normal person, I was excited to partake in this long voyage to Althera. Never in my life have I experienced traveling through the seas in a ship instead of an airplane. I mean, could you imagine traveling in a faraway place without any GPS or any technological devices to aid you?

Mano-manong pag-travel talaga ang mai-experience mo.

This excitement kept me up all night and I've filled pages on my diary of my expectations in this journey. To think that I would be like one of those people in the past ages to travel and explore a different place in this world as if it was something new.

I feel like Magellan now. Except, our objectives don't align. He was trying to reach the Spice Islands of Maluku and open a new trading route for Spain. Ako, isang miyembro ng guild na naatasang maging envoy papuntang Althera. That was out mission. To oversee the safety of our people in Althera as well as to observe the severity of those things they called Reapers.

This world is big, I must say.

Hindi lang Arcadia ang nag e-exist dito. May ibang mga kaharian at lupain din na may iba't ibang kultura at pamamaraan ng paggamit ng mahika. To reach other lands was what makes this world kinda realistic. I didn't knew until this moment that I have an interest in exploring new worlds.

This was all new to me.

Sa dating mundo ko, may Internet na pwede mong magamit upang makita ang iba't ibang parte ng mundo. And I just realized that there was no fun in exploring anymore. Pwede mo nalang makita sa Internet lahat ng pictures ng landmarks. Just a click and millions of images would pop.

"Good morning," bati sa akin ni Lisandrei.

"Morning," sabay hikab ko.

We have already departed from Puerto Cydril 1 early in the morning. And as soon as the ship crossed from land to sea, the ship flew down to lower altitudes.

Nasa upper deck si Mason at nagmamaneho ng barko. Si Loren, nasa itaas ng watchtower kasama si Seref upang damdamin ang hangin. Jinsei was with them but he was sleeping as always. Ulric on the other hand, sat on the tip point of the ship without any fear of outbalancing. Makakalipad naman siya so hindi na kami nag-worry.

The two Animas were left with Marcie and Erika, vice versa sila sa pag-alaga.

"To see the seas once again is another breath of fresh air," sanay ngiti ko kaharap ang karagatan. Lisandrei and I were at the front side of the ship, overseeing the landing.

"It's my first time traveling in the far West past the Atlantian Ocean."

Dahil sa sinabi niya, may naalala akong gusto kong itanong sa kanya.

"Lisa diba sabi mo one time hindi ka taga-Cydril?"

Naapansin ko parin ang maliit na reaksyon niya kahit nasa gilid ko siya. Naka-Indian sit sa itaas na wood ng ship.

She halted for a bit and slightly widened her eyes. And as she was facing the wide sea, she smiled. Para siyang si Ulric, they like getting close to the edge.

"I'm from Estra," her tone was low yet I felt the warmth with her words. Parang miss na niya yung lupaing kinabibilangan niya.

"Estra? Which part of the Empire?"
