"It's never too early to begin exploring the world."

Maureen settled Nikki and Natalie in their twin strollers, side by side as soon as they got out of the car.

She knew this wasn't going to be so easy, but she was used to handling multiple kids at once.

She can do this, she reminded herself.

It wouldn't be so hard, right?

'Righttt' she sarcastically told herself. She knew this first time was going to be a challenge.

They were in the parking lot, with the kids looking around curiously with wide eyes. Harper's eyes held wariness, especially when there were other people walking around.

Dave and Mrs. Helen were at the side, looking at her with a smile. Seems like they were telling her 'good luck' with their gaze.

She felt like she needed it.

"Okay!" she called the attention off the kids over, and smiled when they looked at her at the same time. Well, except the twins who were in slumber in their stroller.

"Our first stop is the grocery, since it's still early for lunch." she explained, handing Harper and Hayes their bags while letting Hayes grab Charee's hand.

"We're eating here?" Harper asked, with her brows cocked as usual "Are you sure?"

Maureen answered her with a smile "Yes, I'm sure."

She took a deep breath, before continuing to walk towards the entrance of the huge mall. This was the nearest at their house, and as much as she wanted their first trip to the mall comfy, this was the best choice while maintaining a safe distance to their house.

The walk was quick to the supermarket, with the children looking around and pointing everywhere. Charee and Hayes especially, who were walking ahead with Mrs. Helen at their side, eyes never leaving them.

Dave stayed a few steps behind, staying with Harper who was quietly looking around. Still wary. Maureen pushed the stroller with a smile.

With the chatter and noises inside the mall, the two sleeping babies slowly woke.

"Hi, babies" she cooed, looking over at Nikki who first stretched and yawned, eyes looking at the bright light behind Maureen's head. Curious.

"Hi" she cooed, letting him sit up in his side of the stroller as he looked around, hands adorably reaching out for her. But she can't carry him yet.

"Not yet, baby, later" she said, rubbing the back of his small hands and leaving his front view so he could see where they were.

Nikki's eyes were wide and sparkled as he leaned forward, looking around at the bright lights and people. Maureen smiled.

She watched as they stepped near an elevator, letting the first people in the line step inside first.

It was only a few minutes wait when the elevator came back, and she giggled while watching Mrs. Helen pull Hayes and Charee away from the mirror, looking up at the moving machinery that they encountered today.

"Careful" she spoke, stretching her neck to see Hayes and Charee holding Mrs. Helen's hands while they stepped in, the two looking back and smiling at her. She followed suit, lifting the stroller lightly to avoid bumps.

She gazed at Harper who stepped in quietly, Dave following behind her.

Maureen heard Charee's loud 'woah' and 'ooh' as the three of them, including Harper now, looked over at the passing floors as the continued to go up.
