"Let love simply bloom and it's unstoppable."
Maureen nodded as the flavors exploded in her mouth. It was quite obvious when they entered the restaurant, but the taste was delicious.
It was one of the best steak she's had.
She smiled, nodding towards Tobias in appreciation. She always loved good food, and this was one of the places that she wanted to go back to again someday.
Maureen made sure to feed the twins, watching the other three as they had their fair share of sausages and mashed potatoes.
The youngest were having chicken with their vegetables, and Nikki and Natalie had small cuts of chicken on their hands as they fed themselves.
Charee was once again frowning at the vegetables on her plate, but one look at her dad made her get a spoonful. Not because he'd get mad, just because she wanted to make sure that he'd see she's eating her vegetables.
Maureen took a sip of her mango smoothie, sharing it with the twins as their face scrunched at the cool, sweet taste.
She giggled, looking over at Tobias to see if he saw their expressions. With a chuckle from him, it confirmed her thoughts.
Their dinner proceeded peacefully, with Harper and Hayes talking about their night yesterday and how much fun they had. Tobias listened intently, not leaving anything out of their words.
He made note of what Harper said about Chloe's dad, and how it would be nice to talk to him some day about some of their projects.
As their dinner finished, dessert then came next.
"How about this one?" Tobias asked Hayes as he pointed at the dessert menu. They were picking from a variety, all sorts of ice creams and cakes they can offer.
"Meh." his son made a disgusted face as he pointed to a blueberry cheesecake. Tobias laughed, knowing full well how his taste buds disagreed with anything blueberry. It wasn't his favorite fruit.
"Oh, this one." Harper pointed to a banana split, one order for her. "I like this one."
"Alright, baby. One banana split for you." he nodded, taking note of what she wanted as well as two scoops of vanilla and chocolate. Those were for his youngest twins, the one's by the outdoor patio playing with Maureen.
She was watching the two as they ran around, distracted by the lights from above them and pointing at whatever they could. They were giggling and mumbling as they ran in circles.
After picking out their order, Harper and Hayes then went outside, hand in hand with Charee as they joined Maureen and their other siblings.
He called over the waiter, giving him their orders for dessert and looking over by the window. He watched them as Hayes looked over the railing, holding Charee's hand as they pointed at the cars passing by.
Harper was with the twins, playfully chasing them around as they tried their best to run straight. He could see the other people on the patio smiling and cooing at his kids, saying words of compliments and how adorable they all were.
He couldn't agree more.
Tobias looked over at the movement by the right, seeing Maureen lightly waving at him with a small smile.
The smile on her face made him smile too, and raising his hand, he waved back.
He had always thought that she was beautiful, but there she was. A small smile, a gentle wave. Eyes shining in the light as the music from the restaurant sounded in his ears.
