"scarred, but still beautiful"

It had been a month since Beomgyu and Yeonjun's first encounter. Things had changed so fast.

From the very first moment Yeonjun landed his eyes upon the younger boy, he knew that something was off. Yeonjun was perfectly familiar with that expression that was plastered on Beomgyu's face in a harassing manner when the boy was looking at him and Beomgyu couldn't even realise that he was unconsciously begging him for help.

Beomgyu was silent, but still so exposed in Yeonjun's eyes. The way his body would flinch or tremble as soon as Youngsoo made skin contact with him or talked to him said it all.

Yeonjun's heart ached. A small twitch attacked his chest, but even after all the flashbacks and the wounds Beomgyu's miserable eyes opened in him over again, he remained silent.

Did he have another way?

He didn't even know Beomgyu and Youngsoo that closely to make those hasty assumptions about them. Embarrassing himself in front of his new business partner and his boyfriend was the least Yeonjun wanted to do, so he just pretended that nothing was wrong at all and went with the flow. Thanks to his self-mastery, that evening came to an end peacefully. It was a happy event for Soobin and Youngsoo's and his partnership, but was it the same for Beomgyu?

The following morning Yeonjun was in his room, still thinking about the black-haired beauty he met a day ago. He couldn't get rid of the boy's fascinating features from his mind.

Yeonjun didn't tend to fall in love easily. Hell, he's 25, but still single, only busy with his business life. That's exactly what his entire life had been_ just his work and a few close friends.

It's not like he's not a romantic type or interested in love. It's quite opposite truthfully. He always dreamt of the day he would finally find his true and only love.

Then why hadn't he gotten in a relationship with anyone so far?

That's because Yeonjun was too mature to waste his time and energy on temporary relationships. For him, being a lover meant something special and particular, something that would make him feel like the most peaceful and the luckiest person on the Earth. Love wasn't a game to Yeonjun. It's one of the most serious topics for him. He knew that love wasn't just a mere intimacy of two beating hearts or a marriage. Love was something much more, something bigger and greater. For Yeonjun, it meant finding the second half of his soul. It meant care, respect and trust.

Thinking about Beomgyu in his room that day, the first moment he caught sight of his beautiful presence, Yeonjun knew that it was love at first sight.

It was the first time Yeonjun was feeling something like that towards someone, especially, a boy he just met a day ago. His heart was agitated and his mind couldn't rest because it was too busy thinking about the younger.

Yeonjun always promised himself that he wouldn't act like a teenager when the first love visited him and brought exciting colours into his monotonous life; that he would greet that beautiful event with a calm heart and a serious mindset, but instead here he was, still sitting at the window since the previous night and staring at the sunrise with enchanted eyes.

For the first-ever time life had become a truly beautiful thing to him and suddenly acquired a meaning. The world got painted in bright colours and his entire being felt poetic. Every moment was so magnificent that he didn't want to give in to sleep even a moment because he'd lose the precious minutes of his life like that.

Yeonjun became completely oblivious to the passing of time. He then found it difficult to concentrate on work. He started spacing out at random times, even during the conferences in the company. That's why everyone could notice a change in his behaviour, but no one dared ask him anything, besides Yeonjun's closest friend and shareholder, Soobin.
