"Here! Come in", Beomgyu said as he opened the door of his house, stepping aside so Taehyun, who was holding the baby, could get inside.

It took so much effort from Beomgyu to take Taehyun to his house. No matter how he insisted Jiwoo wouldn't let him take Taehyun because she didn't feel comfortable with it. She thought Beomgyu wasn't strong enough to take care of both of them, but Beomgyu didn't give up. He couldn't just let Taehyun and the baby go somewhere else far away from him. He'd be damned if he let that happen.

"You are a betrayer, Beomgyu", Jiwoo said sternly as they were at the hospital in the waiting room and her words did really hit Beomgyu hard, "I can't let my ill son and granddaughter be with someone like you"

Beomgyu tried not to show how hurt and surprised he felt when Jiwoo called him a betrayer. However, despite his hurt, he still made bold direct eye contact with the woman, gulping down heavily as he said, "Maybe I betrayed Yeonjun... But at least I know how to be loyal to the one I truly love... I won't let anyone take away my love and my daughter. They'll come with me no matter what"

Jiwoo looked surprised by what she heard and Beomgyu knew he had finally won over his mother-in-law, however, Jiwoo still looked doubtful. It didn't even seem like she accepted the fact that there would always be something between Beomgyu and Taehyun.

"I don't trust you, Beomgyu", she said, but this time Beomgyu could hear her wavering voice, knowing that she might not win any point here. Still, he kept on standing firm and looking at her directly in the eye. She eventually sighed, shaking her head, "Just know that if anything bad happens to my son or granddaughter, you'll pay the price"

"Be sure that none of this will happen", Beomgyu assured, completely confident in his own words, "You can visit us anytime you want to see that I know how to take care of the ones I love"

With that, their conversation was over and Beomgyu had walked out with a small smile on his face, letting Jiwoo know everything would be okay. So he took Taehyun home and now he was happy than ever before to know that Taehyun and his daughter would always be in front of his eyes, that he'd hug them and kiss them whenever he wanted to.

And maybe he had gotten a little bit too carried away thinking about all this, but right now, he didn't care. He was just glad he'd finally done what he set out to do. His family was safe and Taehyun had become part of his life forever and forever. And even though it was bittersweet for Beomgyu knowing that Jiwoo's distrust in him might not end, for the first time, he actually felt happy. After all, nothing could change how much Taehyun meant to him and the fact that he wanted to protect him forever.

"Thank you for coming with me", he told Taehyun once they got home, making Taehyun smile brightly, "How is the baby doing?"

"She's perfect, Hyung", Taehyun said as he looked down at the little baby in his arms. He kissed her cheek softly before saying, "Let's go lay her down in her crib!"

Breathing out a sigh, Beomgyu couldn't help but smile as well. Taehyun was perfect. Taehyun's happiness was contagious and Beomgyu wanted to make sure every single person he loved was happy. Because that was what made Beomgyu happy as well.

"Sure"

Knowing they all would have to live together, Beomgyu had prepared a room for them all and bought some things the baby would need, including a crib, clothes, toys, etc. Taehyun was amazed as they got into their bedroom. This room looked very different from what he expected.

The walls were all dark blue colour, with big windows in the middle allowing the light of the setting sun into the room and making it look very warm. The bed was also a queen size mattress. There were two large dressers on each side of the wall and two large nightstands on each side of the bed. The carpet was black, covered in a soft white pattern and it seemed that the curtains had been painted to match. It was pretty...
