"a test"

   "Hyung!"

   Beomgyu felt tears brimming up in his eyes as Huening Kai walked up to him and gave him the strongest hug ever, affectionate and warm. The younger boy's arms were around him tight, like he was afraid that if he didn't hold onto Beomgyu, then the older would disappear. His fingers slipped into Beomgyu's long locks when he felt his tears wetting his shirt, but Beomgyu didn't care about how he might look or sound. He just let his tears fall.

   "Shh, Hyung", Huening Kai whispered into his ear, continuously running a soothing hand through Beomgyu's hair. "Calm down, please"

   Huening Kai rushed to his house as soon as he found out that Beomgyu and Yeonjun were going to get divorced. He had no idea what the reason for their break-up was but he didn't care. The only thing he could think of at the moment was how hurt and devastated Beomgyu looked and sounded. It was crushing his heart. As he was feeling Beomgyu's tears soak his shirt on his shoulder, Huening Kai was dying inside.

   He never thought that he would witness something so painful, especially after seeing how happy Beomgyu always used to be with Yeonjun. He hated seeing Beomgyu like this; ruined and heartbroken. He wanted to do anything and everything so that he wouldn't go through this hard breakup. Huening Kai really wished it would work out between the two of them, even if he was still crazy in love with his Hyung.

   "I'm h-hurting s-so much", Beomgyu sobbed quietly while he cried against the taller boy's chest. He felt guilty. Huening Kai knew that Beomgyu loved Yeonjun a lot. At least that's what he thought.

   "I know, Hyung", Huening Kai kissed Beomgyu's temple gently, stroking his scalp comfortingly. "I know"

   The younger couldn't help but wonder why things ended up this way, however, he didn't want to disturb Beomgyu with questions. The latter looked pretty devastated already; putting pressure on him was the last thing he needed. Huening Kai didn't even have any idea how Yeonjun could possibly leave someone as precious and special as Beomgyu who loved him deeply and unconditionally.

   "Calm down, Hyung. I'm sure it will be alright"

   Beomgyu pulled away from Huening Kai to wipe his tearful face with one of his sleeves. He gave a weak smile to his best friend who was still holding his hand. "It won't", he insisted while wiping his tears, "I know it won't be okay"

   The younger male bit his lower lip nervously as he watched Beomgyu continue to cry. He was scared that Beomgyu wouldn't be able to handle all the things he was having to go through. He wanted Beomgyu to feel better but he wasn't too sure if it was possible.

   "Come on", he said, "Let's sit down"

   They headed to couches and seated themselves on them. Beomgyu was fortunately alone in the house since his mom was at work. Beomgyu hated the idea that she was still partners with Youngsoo, but he couldn't bring himself to care in his current situation. All he could think of was Taehyun and his breakup with Yeonjun, however, Taehyun was a bigger reason for his agony. He couldn't help but think that the boy hated him and it was poisoning him from the inside.

   Huening Kai looked at him, watching as the boy brushed off his newly fallen tears, then sniffled, the tip of his nose red. His face was flushed, his eyes swollen, his hair messy but he still looked perfect in Huening Kai's eyes. He was too beautiful and breathtaking to not admire him.

   "How are you feeling?", Huening Kai asked softly.

   "Tired", Beomgyu simply replied. "Like shit"

   After a few minutes of tranquillity, Beomgyu finally decided to break the silence. "Can you...", he broke off and took a deep breath to calm his nerves, "Can you hold my hand?"
