"the whole night"

Soobin was sitting at his desk in the company, signing some documents for their project. It was almost the middle of the night, but he had too much work to go home, especially, since Yeonjun still wasn't there to help him out, but Soobin didn't complain. His priority was only Yeonjun and his health.

He sighed and signed the last document before putting it down in front of him and leaning back in his seat for a moment to rest and enjoy the silence in the office. He pinched the bridge of his nose as he tried to clear his head, but it seemed difficult when he was feeling so sleepy from working all day long. So he closed his eyes and just enjoyed the quietness of his office for a while longer before grabbing a file from the desk and opening it up.

The male was so focused on the reading that he didn't even hear the door open. The sudden noise made him jump slightly in surprise and he whipped his head around to look at the intruder and see who it was.

"Sorry, Mr Choi", said his secretary and bowed slightly, "I knocked but you didn't respond"

Soobin nodded before putting away the folder and fixing his position in his chair, "What is it?"

"There's a guest at your office. He wants to meet you", said the secretary, his voice laced with uncertainty, "He says his name is Kim Youngsoo", he added after Soobin raised an eyebrow.

Soobin's features quickly got taken over by shock and he instinctively leapt up from his seat, "Kim Youngsoo?!?"

"Yes", he replied, nodding his head, "Should I let him come in?"

But Soobin didn't even have time to reply since suddenly Youngsoo barged into the room with a smug expression on his face, catching Soobin off his guard as he announced confidently, "I know I don't need an invitation to visit my friend, right, Soobin? I think I'm always welcome here", he grinned which made Soobin sick in his stomach.

The secretary excused himself and left while Soobin kept staring at Youngsoo intensely, his eyes sharpening and getting more fierce every second, but Youngsoo seemed unbothered. He just walked to Soobin's desk to stand behind and seat himself comfortably on the chair as if trying to play with the other's nerves.

"Sit down, my dear friend", he said with amusement evident in his eyes while Soobin continued drilling holes into his eyes, "I've got an offer and I want to discuss it"

"I have nothing to do with you", Soobin stated firmly, his voice calm, but firm nonetheless, his eyes still glaring daggers at Youngsoo, "Leave my office before I order the guards to bring you out forcefully"

Youngsoo just laughed at that and crossed his legs comfortably on the chair. Soobin rolled his eyes in annoyance as he clenched his jaw tightly, trying to ignore the sickening sounds of Youngsoo's mocking laughs.

"You won't do that", he stated confidently.

"Oh, really?", Soobin asked sassily with sarcasm in his tone, "And why's that?"

"Because if you accept my offer, I'm ready to withdraw my suit"

Soobin froze, his expression became blank as he stared at Youngsoo in awe. He couldn't help but get curious suddenly by the announcement, so he finally questioned, "... What do you mean?", he asked in disbelief as he slowly sat on the chair, his eyes never leaving Youngsoo's confident ones as if seeking answers or a sign of lies in them.

The latter smirked mischievously and leaned closer. Soobin couldn't help but back away from Youngsoo as soon as he got that close, "Let me rejoin your project", he said with amusement glinting in his eyes and a smirk playing on his lips, taking the boy by surprise, "If you accept it, then I promise, I'll leave Beomgyu and Taehyun alone, but if you don't...", he sighed and leaned back in his chair, tapping his fingers on the desk, "You all will have to suffer the consequences "
