Beomgyu didn't sleep that night. His mind was a mess of worries and thoughts. He was laying alone in his and Yeonjun's bed, the room lit up by the small beam of a candle while the moon also peeked in and fell upon Beomgyu's sad and brooding face.

He hadn't seen Yeonjun since the morning. The guy went outside after his incident with Taehyun and came back in the evening. He went straight into his cabinet and locked himself there, not even bothering to have supper and say anything to Beomgyu at all. The latter was sick worried about his husband, or maybe he was feeling that distressed and heavy just because the tense situation in the house was affecting him really bad, especially the fact that Yeonjun wasn't letting him close and didn't trust him enough to reveal his pain to him and cry on his shoulder instead of mourning in private. Beomgyu was his husband after all. Wasn't Yeonjun supposed to rely on him? Beomgyu felt like he had just the status of Yeonjun's husband and not an actual role. It was distressing and he'd been eating his heart out over this. His mind was back to their little problem. Could all of that be because they weren't sexually close? Would Yeonjun open up to him and fully perceive him as his husband if Beomgyu erased that barrier between them?

Beomgyu was also confused about the fact that Soobin and Taehyun were sleeping together in the latter's room. Beomgyu didn't get why they were so close. Were they in a relationship? They didn't look like just friends, at least not to Beomgyu. The fact that Soobin was the only one Taehyun opened up to was making Beomgyu suspicious. The blonde became more energized and joyful after Soobin visited him. Beomgyu felt like Soobin was the only person Taehyun didn't mock or treat harshly. There was no way they weren't more than friends, but it was also a hard thing to believe because Yeonjun had never mentioned anything like that and Taehyun had also said that he had a girlfriend.

The night felt so long that Beomgyu had time to overthink everything. It was midnight when he realised that he'd been pondering too much and felt an aching sensation in his head. He wanted to sleep, but not without Yeonjun beside him. Beomgyu first wanted to make sure that Yeonjun would at least get a couple of hours sleep that night. He needed to know that he was okay, even if Yeonjun actually wasn't. He also thought of getting up and calling him, but he didn't need to, because soon Yeonjun returned on his own, immediately heading for the closet which is why he couldn't notice that Beomgyu was awake.

It upset Beomgyu. His husband didn't even spare a glance at him.

He peered at the older with brooding eyes through the dark as the latter picked up his pyjamas and sauntered towards the bed with heavy steps. The tramp of marching feet was laced with a heavy reverberation of overpowering stress, echoing obnoxiously in Beomgyu's laden mind.

The younger felt heavier. It got almost impossible to breathe as he didn't want to make any sound. He was still overshadowed by deep contemplation and in a sombre mood, suffering the woes of timidity as he scooped his husband's bare back with self-retrospection glinting in his fatigued eyes.

Yeonjun was in heavy distress. Beomgyu could even see that as a thick fog of depression surrounded the older like the four walls of a jail. He pondered, sinking into the bottomless depth of his own mind, not even noticing that he was biting down his lower lip in the process.

"Could now be the right time?", was the most essential question that eddied round the younger's head at this juncture as his mind wandered in a mist of concerns, "He may be tired... or need a release from stress"

The heart trembled in his chest, full of enterprise, but still afraid that the boy would just embarrass himself if Yeonjun rejected him. Despite that, he promised himself that he'd stop being a coward, didn't he?

Maybe now was the time to prove himself that he wasn't a scaredy-cat and could be solid in the decision he had made.

As the last bricks of disquiet crumbled, his impulses got revitalised and he shuffled in bed to reach his gorgeous husband who sat on the edge of the bed with his back facing the younger.
