The darkness was slowly absorbing the bright sky and the sounds were fading. A cool, refreshing breeze was flowing into the room through the open windows as Beomgyu was getting dressed and letting the breath of air ruffle his locks and make them flutter slightly.

After putting on his shoes, he was ready to go to the hospital where his husband was. His mind was empty, completely free from all the distressing thoughts. He could not see or hear anything, he felt nothing. He knew he had never felt this numb, but strong at the same time before.

He grabbed his car keys and left his room. He immediately noticed that a suspicious silence was hanging over the house, like a thick blanket. Beomgyu knew that Taehyun was still in the house, but he hadn't seen him nor talked to him after their unpleasant encounter in the afternoon. Beomgyu really didn't want to have anything to do with him anymore. Taehyun had made it clear that he didn't need their love and Beomgyu wasn't definitely going to beg. Not anymore. He had already made himself look fragile and pathetic in front of Taehyun many times and he really didn't want to be in the same situation again. If Taehyun wanted him to fall out of love, then so be it. Beomgyu was sure one day his husband would wake up and go back to him. Then he would take a big pleasure in making Taehyun watch how happy they were together because he wasn't worth Beomgyu's tears or any ounce of his pain.

That's what Beomgyu was thinking about as he was walking along the hall. He was feeling more determined now than ever, and more focused. He was determined to fight with everything he had, to win against the man who hurt him so much; the man who made Beomgyu feel like a failure and an outsider. Maybe this wasn't going to turn out well in the end, but Beomgyu thought that he had a chance against Taehyun. He was going to make the younger see that he wasn't capable of breaking him this easily.

Beomgyu got rid of his thoughts about the blonde as he jogged down the stairs and outside his home, the cold wind hitting him full force like an ice bucket to the face when he opened the door. The coldness made him shiver, but he didn't care, because as soon as he sat in the car, the warmth started to fill his system and as he drove away he finally let himself relax and think about the day ahead of him instead.

He was happy that he was feeling so strong and eager to give Yeonjun the attention and love he deserved. Once the older would wake up, Beomgyu would make sure to show him that he had become better, that he was going to be a better husband and completely considerate of his feelings after this. He wanted to show him how much he had grown up while he was asleep and how much he had changed. He wanted Yeonjun to know that he cared about him, deeply.

There was only Jiwoo in the waiting room when Beomgyu arrived at the hospital. She had been there since the last night and she was looking tired, her dark blue pants were baggy and covered by a long-sleeved shirt. Her hair fell into her face as she leaned back in the chair, taking deep breaths as she read a magazine.

"Good evening", Beomgyu greeted her softly as he took slow steps to her, grabbing the woman's attention and causing her to look up, her gaze softening upon seeing the male approaching her.

"Oh, hey", she smiled gently, putting away the magazine and watching the boy as he seated himself next to her, "Where have you been? I've been trying to contact you for hours"

Hearing the last words, Beomgyu instantly felt a leap of fear in his heart, thinking something bad must have taken place.

"D-did anything happen?", he asked as he looked at her with widened eyes, fear shaking in them, "I'm sorry. My phone must have died. I forgot to check it or charge it"

Jiwoo shook her head and gave him a comforting smile, "Don't worry, honey. I just wanted to let you know that they were letting two visitors in the reanimation, but you didn't answer my calls. I thought you were asleep"
