"loneliness"

The days passed by, one after another and nothing changed. They were both too busy, and not in the mood for small talk, so they didn’t even look at each other. Taehyun was always too busy with his work at the tattoo shop and Beomgyu... He liked his school life so much that he even stopped thinking about Taehyun too much since he was always distracted by other things. His hobby and his friends... It made him forget about their relationship, which was weird considering he knew it was there somewhere deep inside himself but... he couldn’t help it! Taehyun was already starting to feel like Beomgyu was no longer interested in him. He was always so busy at school or with his friends that he never even used to call him. Even at home, he paid more attention to Yeonjun than him. It felt like his love for Taehyun was gone...

The blonde was always stressed out because of that. Beomgyu always used to avoid him and conversations with him. The other boy barely even looked at him anymore and now he didn’t even want to talk? And why wasn’t Taehyun doing anything? He tried talking to him at least once a day without fail, but Beomgyu always said the same thing – "I'm busy" or "I have to concentrate on my studies", so Taehyun finally gave up, but he felt alone, so lonely without his love.

"I think Beomgyu doesn't love me anymore", he once said to his puppy as he sat on the bed with his back pressed against the headboard, "What do you think, baby? I mean... What's happening between us?", he asked softly while caressing the puppy with his fingertips, "Do we even need to keep being in a relationship? Beomgyu has just been too cold lately. I think he loves his new friends more than me since he spends so much time with them. He's just... He's not interested in me anymore"

His puppy whined, looking at Taehyun as if to say ‘well you did hurt him, so don’t be stupid. You're both grown-ups, stop acting like children, you two will get over this sooner or later. Just give it some time’. That simple thought made Taehyun smile. He had no idea how much time he actually spent sulking like that, but now that he was thinking about it, it was quite long.

The following week Beomgyu and Yeonjun went on a trip to Rome, Jiwoo had also left for business, so Taehyun was all alone in his house with his little friend. Soobin sometimes would visit him to check up on him and for Taehyun not to feel alone, but the latter never really needed anyone's company when he was alone. Being able to focus solely on what needed to be done, kept him from thinking about Beomgyu. He almost spent all days tattooing people’s tattoos and when he was at home he would go to the basement and paint in an attempt to distract himself and not think about Beomgyu anymore.

"Are you free tonight?", Hangyeol, Taehyun's customer once asked after getting his other arm tattooed. The question instantly caught the blonde off his guard and his heart rate accelerated rapidly. He panicked inside of his head, not sure about how to respond, so he just stood dumbfounded in his place for a couple of seconds, before finally answering.

"Yeah, why?", he replied, his voice sounding weak and shaky even though he tried hard to sound confident.

"I thought... we could meet up and go somewhere together. Would be fun, wouldn't it?", Hangyeol asked with a hope evident in his voice, making Taehyun cringe inwardly.

"Oh. Uh... yeah sure", the last thing Taehyun wanted to do was to go on a date with him but he didn't know what else to do... Beomgyu had stopped paying attention to him, so what else could he do? Wasn't he supposed to move on?

Hangyeol beamed at hearing the reply and immediately walked away from his table with his newly finished tattoo covering his arm. Taehyun sighed, feeling defeated.

"Why can't everything be easy", the blonde whispered to himself.

That evening Taehyun spend time with Hangyeol. The guy was very nice, funny, and very good looking. But still Taehyun had trouble enjoying the date. He felt guilty, knowing he should've asked Beomgyu if it was okay with him instead. Maybe, then he wouldn't feel like such a bad person for wanting to hang out with someone else after breaking Beomgyu's heart, but maybe it was Beomgyu who kept breaking his heart... Taehyun didn't know anymore.
