Avatar: The Fire Twins

A hopeless feeling

Vegeta was standing alone, facing his opponents. Ty Lee, Suki, Katara and Aang were surrounded by fear. Goku, Azula and Toph, were standing together, frowning and thinking about what they should do.

Azula knew that it was their tactic that let them defeat the bald Saiyajin but this other one could destroy him with a single technique, and the worst thing was that his energy was not drained by the attack. She only wondered about how much of a difference is between her energy and his.

Goku and Toph were excited about the prospect of a good fight. In the years they were together, they were able to find their common love of fighting. But they realized that in the current situation, the problem was way too big to let themselves. They should not go with their desires for a good fight. They needed to defeat Vegeta.

Goku knew that his sister could come up with an idea to defeat him. But with the current state, he doesn't think Azula knows how to deal with the remaining Saiyajin, yet. He has shown that his power was even greater than the previous one.

- Let me start the fight.

Said Goku to Toph and Azula. Azula was worried, but she understood right away. He said "start", he wanted them to watch the fight to can come up with a strategy to defeat him. Both Azula and Toph nodded at him.

Azula stepped back and turned to see Aang. She frowned and said:

- All of you may go.

- What? We are here to...

- You already use your Avatar state, and you could do nothing. What you do now is just get in the way. All of you!

It was getting late, but the battle was going to start. Ty Lee decided to help Suki and take her to another place. Suki refused at first, she wanted to take Soka's body, but Ty Lee convinced her otherwise.

Goku step up and face Vegeta. The short Saiyajin smirked.

- So, it is you Kakaroto. A low-class warrior against an elite class. Hahaha.

- I have defeated multiple times those who call themselves elite warriors.

- An elite warrior from this planet can not be compared to the saiyajins. Shortly after we are born, our battle aptitude is put to test. The scum who score poorly is shipped off to planets with the weakest inhabitants. Just like you were!

- And as a result, I was sent to earth. I am grateful that I wound up here. But let me tell you that power is not everything.

- Nice attempt at a joke. Let me show you a wall you will never climb without real power.

After that small conversation, Goku and Vegeta put a fighting stance. Suddenly both of them disappeared. Katara and Aang tried to search where they were but to no avail. Azula, who has her arms crossed, was looking at the sky, frowning.

Goku dashed to Vegeta and started to attack him, but he could not connect his attacks. Vegeta blocked each one of them, but at the same time, Goku also stopped Vegeta attacks. The difference was that Vegeta was not fighting at his full potential. He was playing with Goku, and Goku realized that.

Even when he knows that the world is at stake there, Goku couldn't help but smile. Exciting combat is in front of him, with an unknown foe.

Goku tried again, and the same result. None of his attacks landed, and Vegeta started to smile. Then Vegeta sent a small blast of energy, but Goku was able to dodge it. Vegeta smirked and said:

- Good, you could at least dodge that. But you have to do better if you want to entertain me. Let's try again.

Vegeta went against Goku again, but this time Vegeta was faster. While Goku could block some of the attacks, the ones that landed were direct to his torso.
