So it was about 7am in the morning when Tionne's alarm went off
Me-(Groans) Baby it's time to get up
Tionne-(Groans) 5 more minutes Baby please
Me-(Sits up yawning and stretches)No baby, let's get up
(Smacks her on the ass)
Tionne-Ouch! Fine I'm up (Pouting)
Me-Awe don't pout boo, we promised your mom we would come see her for the first part of the day to celebrate Thanksgiving with her
Tionne-Ok, fine, your right, let's get ready
So we got up, did our hygiene thing, got dressed and left for Tionne's mom condo
Once we arrived her mom greeted us at the door
Tionne's mom- Well hello my beautifuls(huging us both) how are you ladies this morning
Tionne-(Yawning) Tired ma, but hello
Me-Im well this morning, how are you
Tionne's mom- Oh I'm making it,
Well come on in
We walk inside, and our noses are met with every spice imaginable, we both took a deep inhale, taking all the good smells in
Tionne-Wow mom it smells so good in here, what are you making
Tionne's mom-Well thank you baby, and nothing big just a little bit of Turkey, dressing, glazed ham, turnip greens, yams, chicken n dumplings, baked macaroni, baked beans, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and for dessert, your favorite chocolate raspberry cheesecake and sweet potato pie
Tionne-Wow ma, you didn't have to cook all that just for me, seems like you with through a lot of trouble
Tionne's mom-No trouble at all, now I want you girls to go sit while I finish up, and everything will be ready to eat in about 30 more minutes
Me&Tionne-Ok
So we went and sat in the living room, and saw a huge photo album on the table, Tionne picked it up and opened it as we sat down on the couch
We went over every picture with Tionne telling the story behind the ones she could actually remember
It was sweet, and I loved watching her smile and light up by a memory she really cherished
We got all towards the end to where there were pictures but they were turned around only showing the back of the pictures that had only the date and time written on them
Me-Baby why are these pictures facing backwards
Tionne-I'm not sure
She then took one out and turned it around, and screamed out loud
Her mom came running into the living room
Tionne's mom-Baby what's wrong are you ok
Tionne just burst into tears dropping the picture on the floor
I grabbed her and hugged her tight as her mom looked down to finally see what was wrong and picked up the picture
Tionne's mom-Oh baby I'm so sorry, I didn't mean for you to see these pictures, that's why they are facing backwards
Tionne-(Trying to talk why crying) But mom, why do you even have those pictures in there
Tionne's mom-Baby it's for evidence
Me- Evidence, for what
Tionne's mom-(Shows me the picture) my mouth dropped as tears fell from my eyes
Me-Oh Tionne, my poor baby, I'm so sorry baby, I'm so sorry he did that to you
Tionne's mom-(Grabbing the photo album putting the picture back) Tionne I am so sorry that it took me so long to do this,but I am finally building a case against your father for abusing us and raping you for all these years,and mommy's sorry She didn't protect you like I should really have against him
Tionne-(Hugs her mom) it's ok mom,you did what you could, and at least your doing something now
Me- So how long has this abuse and rape been going on Tionne
Tionne-Since I was 8 when my brother joined the gang,(tears up) I didn't know he was raping my brother too,which is why he joined the gang to get away from the house and my dad,not knowing it was going to turn right to me
Me-Oh my God! (Burst into tears)How could he do that, how can any parent do that to the child they helped to create
Tionne's mom-Hey hey girls, come on, let's not let this day be sad ok, I'm on it and justice will be served
Tionne-You right ma, that just threw me for a minute, I'm gonna get some fresh air and pull myself together
Tionne's mom-ok baby, food is just about ready
Tionne-ok ma, baby will you come with me
Me-Sure baby
So we went outside, and as soon as we got outside Tionne grabbed on to me breaking completely down
Tionne-No!!!!! Why!!!!! No!!!!
No and why is all she kept yelling and saying, and I just stood there holding her
After a good 30 minutes she calms a little and looks up at me
Tionne-Baby there's something I got to tell you,but I don't want you to be mad at me ok
Me-Baby whatever it is, just tell me,I'm here for you no matter what
Tionne- Well baby I have a daughter, her name is Chase and she's about 7 years old now
Me-(Shocked) Oh my goodness baby really, where is she
Tionne- She's in Philadelphia somewhere, she was adopted
Me-Oh my goodness Tionne, I'm so so sorry baby (Hugs her tighter) I really did not know you were being treated so badly by your dad, but you know what, those days are over now, your safe, your moms safe,and so is your daughter, so does your mom know
Tionne-Yes, she's the one who found the amazing family to adopt chase, and made my dad set up a trustfund up for her
Me-Wow baby, that's so crazy to even wrapp my head around
Tionne-Yeah I know, but it happened, I was on 13teen when my dad got me pregnant (Tears up) and I was never the same after that, I have severe ptsd, and very high anxiety, even though I hide it very well but if only you knew what I was really carrying daily on the inside baby your heart would completely break
Me-Tell you the truth it already is, but you know what, I'm going anywhere and I'm standing by your side for life baby and we will get you some help ok
Tionne-(Looks back up at me) Ok baby,and thank you, and that's why I love you (Kisses me)
Me-Awe baby, I love you too (pulling her in for a deeper kiss)
We Kissed for a good minute until Tionne broke it
Tionne-As much as I would love to stay here kissing you, I'm hungry and ready to eat, how about you
Me-(Giggles) you had me at hungry, so come on, let's go eat
So we went back in and the food was ready just in time, so we washed our hands, made our plates and sat down at the table,
We was having a great time, laughing, joking, singing, hearing stories of Tionne when she was a baby
We were really enjoying ourselves
Next thing I know is Tionne asked her mom to come in the other room with her and made me promise to stay in my seat and even though I am impatient and nosey, I promised
They walked out the dinning room and into a different room in which they were gone for at least 20 minutes which was annoying me because I so badly wanted to know what Tionne was talking to her mom about
So they finally came back into the dining room with huge smiles on their faces which made me even more curious so I decided to ask
Me-So baby care to fill me in on the reasons yall both are smiling from ear to ear right now
Tionne-(Grabs and kisses my hand) It's a surprise for you baby, so you have to be patient ok
Me-Ughh Baby (Pouts) you know I hate being patient, why do you do me like this, I thought you loved me
Tionne-Awe beautiful I do love you, That's exactly what this surprise is all about,now don't pout my sweetness ok
Me-Ok, fine I will wait
Tionne-Good, because again, I promise it will be worth the wait
I looked over seeing her mom smile and shake her head in agreeance with Tionne which made me think it was something really important
Me-(Smiles) Ok baby you win, I will wait
Tionne kisses my hand again
We then got done eating dessert and went into the living room and watched some movies and played cards
Me and Tionne got ready to go because it was now going on 4pm,
We had so much fun hanging with Tionne's mom
We said our goodbyes and gave her big hugs and left to go back to my house
Once in the house we saw my mom and dad and Rozanda sitting in the living area watching TV
Me-Hello family Happy Thanksgiving
Mom,Dad,Ro-Happy Thanksgiving
Me-Mmm mom it smells so good in here, but I'm so stuffed (Flopping down on the floor next to Ro and laying my head in my mom's lap)
Mom-Oh it's ok baby girl, you can have it for tomorrow
Me-ok,(Yawning) Well I think we need to sleep this off, (looking over at Tionne who was asleep on Rozanda leg)
Mom-Ok, yall go lay down we will see yall in the morning
Me-ok mommy, love you
Mom-I love you too
I then got up and hugged my mom and dad, and kissed Rozanda on the forehead and belly
Then woke up Tionne
We went upstairs and changed out of everything, took a shower and climbed straight into bed and just like that we both was our like a light for the rest of the night
