deena woke up around 30 minutes early than her regular time since she wanted her first day to be as perfect as possible. she didn't want any of the other kids to think she was weird. she wanted to make a good first impression or at least make one friend.

she got out of the room to see that she was all alone in the apartment. deena figured that cindy left early but she was okay with it.

she quickly ate breakfast and looked at the time to see that it was 8:00. deena double checked when the bus was going to arrive and once she read the time, her heart dropped.

"oh shit." deena rushed to grab her stuff and ran outside as fast as she could. turned out that she was looking at her old schedule the whole time. now she only had 3 minutes to get to the bus.

once deena reached the bus stop, her bus had already left and gone over to the other one.

deena sighed and rolled her eyes. "what a great way to start off the fucking day." she said, pulling her phone out and started calling a taxi.

"do you think they're actually going to boost up our marks on our report cards if we do this?" nick asked as he sat down on the bench.

"hopefully. if not i'm definitely suing." tommy said with a small laugh.

"do we have to do this, cindy? i feel like these kids are not stupid enough to know what a school looks like." nick argued.

"nick, just shut up and do your job. everything will be just great if you just do what is asked. right, samantha?" cindy said, looking at sam who was zoned out.

"sam!" cindy said a little louder as she snapped her fingers in front of sam's face.

sam was able to snap out from her thoughts as she looked at cindy. "what? yeah, yeah. really great."

the new kids from school had just arrived and everyone was able to get with their assigned partner except for sam.

"sam? where's your partner?" cindy asked.

sam shrugged her shoulders as she fiddled with her hands. "i don't know."

"they're probably running late, give them a minute." cindy smiled as she went back inside the school.

sam saw a taxi pull over and she looked at the brunette girl who exited the taxi.

deena looked at sam and gave her a light smile. "hi, do you know where i could find samantha fraser?"

sam rolled her eyes. "yeah, that would be me. you're late."

"i'm so sorry, i was just-"

"i don't need your lame excuses. just follow me." sam said in a stern voice.

deena was taken aback because of the way this girl acted but she went along with since she didn't want to start anything.

-

sam didn't really talk to deena while the tour happened. except for the stuff for school but that wouldn't really count. deena's first impression from sam is that she's really shy. sam didn't seem to be like the type of person to talk a lot.

"so, classes are down here in this area, every class is labelled so it shouldn't be too hard." sam said as she walked over to her class which was the same as deena's.

deena didn't feel like talking to this blonde girl so she decided to sit way in the back and as far away from sam as much as she could.

instead, deena sat next to a boy with dirty blonde hair. "mind if i sit here?"

"please." the boy said, placing his bag down on the ground for deena.

"i'm deena by the way. i'm new."

"thomas. call me tommy."
