sam woke up with a painful headache and her vision was still blurry but it faded away and noticed that deena was right beside her and holding her hand.

"deena?" sam questioned, rubbing her eyes with her other hand. "what am i doing here? what happened?"

"you don't remember anything at all?" deena asked. "you got in a car crash and now you've ended up in a hell hole like this."

sam tried lifting her head and getting up but her whole entire body started aching. "holy fuck." she groaned in pain. "i'm just gonna stay here."

"good idea." deena said with a forced smile.

the door was opened all of a sudden by the group which startled the two.

"we know who it was!" cindy exclaimed. "oh. sam, you're awake."

"yeah, i am. thanks for mentioning that?"

"yeah! and thanks for ruining my car." cindy replied, gritting her teeth.

"insurance will pay, don't worry." sam said with a laugh but still in a bit of pain. "now who was this asshole who hit me?"

"you're gonna wanna see this." nick gave his phone to sam. turns out that the person who hit her was kurt. was sam shocked? not at all.

"jesus christ, he told me something about being careful in the road. how did i not catch that?" sam asked herself. "and how did you even get this footage from your phone?"

nick scoffed as if he was offended. "i'm future fucking sheriff, i have everything."

"what do we do now?" simon spoke up. "we don't know where he is. hell, he could be out there doing weird things."

"i have his number. all of his socials, locations. everything." deena said. she just wanted all of this to be over and make sure that kurt deserved everything that was coming. "nick, can you track him down? i can give you all the information."

simon couldn't believe what was happening. "this is totally normal. we're hunting down a blonde boy who runs blonde girls over with his own car. this is just a normal and great sunny fucking evening."

-

after two hours, there wasn't a single reply back from nick. they were all starting to lose hope that maybe kurt ran away and would not be able to be found.

deena stayed by sam's side the whole time, she never stood up or let go of her hand the whole time she's been there.

someone knocked on the door and nick came out with a disappointed look on his face.

"what happened? why do you look like you just lost your parents in the store?" kate asked jokingly but still a bit concerned.

"we got him." nick said happily while a smile started to form on his face.

"for real? it was that easy?" deena said, laughing. "where is he now?"

"where he's supposed to be." nick answered. "don't worry, i got it covered."

sam let out a sigh of relief as she heard the news. "thank god." she whispered to herself.

sam and deena were both in the airport, waiting in line to show their passports and information.

"you ready to leave?" deena asked, smiling.

"totally." sam said, struggling to carry her heavy luggage. "i'm a prisoner carrying all of this shit."

"okay, that's entirely your fault. i warned you to not bring too much stuff."

"emotional value." sam said, playfully rolling her eyes.

it was finally their turn and they showed their passports to the girl who was checking to see if everything was fine for them to get in the plane.

"god, i hate planes." sam muttered to herself as she sat down beside the window seat.

"the last time i went on a plane was probably when i was around seventeen or eighteen? when i moved here." deena continued.

"and now i'm here with you." sam smiled, holding deena's hand.

"i thought you hated me." deena joked with a chuckle.

"come on, that was years ago." sam whined, remembering how mean she was back then. she hated the fact that she was always judging deena behind her back. "i don't hate you."

"hate me, samantha fraser."
