"hey, i'm sorry i lashed out on you like that. it's just hard for me to talk about stuff including my sexuality." sam said, talking to deena on the phone. she felt bad about what she did and leaving deena behind like that.

"you don't have to apologize." deena said with a chuckle. "why weren't you at school today?"

"i didn't feel well. i also didn't feel the need to even go to school. it's the same old shit everyday."

"you're getting held back i can see it happening." deena joked, causing sam to scoff.

"rude. also, did we get our grade back? for the presentation?"

"not yet." deena answered. "so! are we meeting up with the guys later?"

"hopefully i might feel a bit better. i have a pounding fucking headache and it's really painful. it's terrible." sam said in an upset voice. "it went from having coming out issues to getting a headache."

"this week just isn't your week, huh?"

"apparently not."

sam finished talking to deena and stayed in her bedroom the whole day. she was still thinking about deena and wondered about them being together. she's scared about what her mother thought about it. she didn't want deena to get into a serious situation.

there was a loud knock and out came her mother.

"samantha, i got a call from the school and they said you weren't there at all today. care to explain?" her mother said sternly.

sam didn't even bother to argue back, she was just so done with everything and everyone.

"it's fine, mom. i was just feeling sick and i decided to take a break."

"if you're going to do these things can you at least just tell me?"

"why should i tell you anything anymore, mom?" sam got frustrated as she stood up but yet feeling groggy. "you don't give a shit about me. not one bit. you don't fucking care about anyone but yourself." sam said, slamming the door shut and locking it right after.

deena was home alone since cindy was out doing her important work in the library. she was still figuring things out about her feelings and it just made her life even more confusing than it already was. she was a senior and is still figuring out her life but things are moving so fast that she has no idea what to do.

the doorbell rang and deena got up to open it. she didn't expect who was going to show up.

of course, he had to be here.
