deena was back in her apartment and without any warning, cindy busted right into her room.

"cindy, what did i tell you about privacy?" deena said, rolling her eyes.

"something happened." cindy said with an afraid look on her face. "something bad."

"what are you talking about? what happened?"

"it's about sam. she got badly hurt."

deena felt like her heart completely dropped. "what? what do you mean by hurt? is she okay?"

"we don't know. all i know is that she's terribly hurt and she hasn't woken up at all."

deena got up. "get your car, let's go."

"i can't."

"why?"

"because my car is hurt too." cindy whined.

deena was confused but everything clicked in a matter of seconds. "oh yeah. she had your car. forget about that! we're running to the hospital."

deena and cindy finally arrived to the hospital out of breath. they ran as fast as possible and they both met up with the group.

the doctor arrived to tell them what exactly happened to sam.

"samantha fraser, right?" the doctor asked as everyone answered with nods and glances. "she's going to be just fine. your friend is lucky that she didn't hit her head otherwise it would've caused her to get brain damage or possible amnesia. she has a few broken bones and scratches but she'll live."

"do you know who hit her?" deena asked furiously.

"we don't know but we're tracking them down. turns out that the driver drove away once they hit samantha." the doctor said.

deena wanted to find out who drove into sam like that. she wondered who it would've been. "can i see her?"

"of course." the doctor said, leading deena to the hospital room. it broke deena's heart to see sam lying down on the bed with bandages and stitches on her face. the doctor left to give the two some privacy.

deena held onto sam's hand with a light smile. "i'm so sorry. i wish i was there when it happened. instead i just let you go on your own without going after you. it was stupid."

"whoever did this to you. i promise i will go after them and do the worse thing possible back to them." deena continued, holding sam's hand even tighter. "i know you're hurting but i need you to wake up. i don't know exactly what happened out there before you had your crash but i know something happened to you. you didn't seem like yourself, it looked like you were completely out of line."

deena listened to the heart monitor and the sound gave her major anxiety. she didn't like hospitals or the thought of going to them. especially knowing that the love of her life was badly hurt. "you know. when you used to hate me i just knew that you liked me right away." she said with a chuckle. "you weren't good at hiding it so i went along without telling you after a few months later."

after a few seconds later, sam jolted up with a loud gasp.
