deena slowly pulled away, leaving sam in shock.

"i'm sorry.."

"no, don't be. it's fine."

once deena and sam's hangout was over, deena couldn't believe it. she thought she didn't like sam but things changed with just a snap of a finger.

what would anyone think of this? deena was anxious since she had to do the presentation with sam in front of the class. they both clearly weren't ready for it and both of them were distracted due to what happened.

knowing sam, she'd probably stumble her words and barely say a single word.

sam tapped her foot to the ground lightly. she was nervous not only because of the presentation but also she had to face deena and things were uncomfortable between them. the two didn't even bother to give each other small glances like they used to. it was that bad.

"samantha and deena. come on right up." the teacher called out.

sam's foot finally stopped moving and she took a deep breath. she stood up and went in front of the class.

deena finally looked at sam after two classes and did the same but standing on the other side.

"whenever you girls are ready." the teacher said, turning the lights off.

"so um." sam started but couldn't get any words out. "uhh.."

deena rolled her eyes, getting bothered of sam stuttering. "basically, the greek god that we picked out was aphrodite which is a god associated with love, lust, beauty, etcetera."

sam was stunned because of how easy deena explained everything.

once deena had stopped talking, she went up to the teacher. "bathroom please." she said, before grabbing sam's arm and leading her to the restroom.

deena sighed, looking at sam. "we need to talk about what happened last night."

"we don't have to talk about anything-"

deena cupped sam's face, giving her a passionate kiss.

she pulled away after 5 seconds with a gasp. "we'll talk after school. if you don't show up i'll kill you." she said, before leaving the bathroom and leaving sam shocked.

sam couldn't believe what was happening. "my life cannot get any better than this." she sighed happily.

"she kissed you twice?" simon asked sam as they both walked through the halls.

"yes! last night and today after we did our presentation. well, technically she did all the talking. i just stood there." sam said with a laugh. "and then she told me to meet her later after school."

simon raised his eyebrows. "after school? like alone?"

"yes, alone. why?"

simon stayed quiet.

sam was confused but then got the gist. she bumped simon on the shoulder. "simon, come on."

"sorry. you'll be fine! it's not like you will get murdered or anything."

"she threatened to kill me if i didn't meet her outside."

"scratch that. you're getting murdered."

sam sighed, shaking her head. "i am just so confused with all of this you know. i don't know what to do."

"it's fine, samantha. trust the process." simon said, running to his next class.

"yeah. trust."
