Part 8|The skin taker

My eyes flutter open and realise the room is pitch black. Wherever I was, it was creepy. I sat upright and felt underneath me... Soft surprisingly. I kept my hands to my side and looked around, my eyes gradually adapting to the dark. Suddenly, a window burst open and the curtains flew rapidly. I stood and made my way over to the window.

The air was cold yet refreshing, reminding me of autumn when the leaves would wisp around you and make you feel as light as a feather.

I look up and saw the moon high in the sky. It was beautiful, contrasting upon the room. I turned back to visualise my surroundings...

A bedroom.

"How on earth did I get here?" I mumble
"Funny story"

My eyes widen and I turn back to the window, an familiar face sitting upon it-

"Jeff?"
"Miss me?"
"Not really" I replied bluntly
"Wow... Rude" he glares at me
"How did I get here?"
"I carried you" he sighed and looked up at the moon
"I though you wanted me dead?"
"You want to be?" He turns to me quickly, jumping onto the space before me
"NO!" I cried out
"Party pooper" he pouts
"YOU CANT KILL ME!"
"How about I drag the blade across your delicate neck and slowly dig it-"
"JEFF!" I yelled
"FINE!" He yelled back
"SHUT THE HELL UP!"

Me and Jeff turned back to confront the figure I met earlier, eyeless jack.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY!" Jeff shouts
"YOU HEARD ME BLADE BOY!"
"YOU CAN TALK! CRYING BABY!"
"AT LEAST I DIDNT CARVE THESE INTO MY FACE!"
"OH NO YOU DIDNT!" Jeff says in a sassy tone before launching at jack

I stare, unsure what to do. Two guys in my room threatening and cussing each other while a simple middle-school teen who is dragged into the woods and in the same room as them... Yep, totally normal.

Suddenly, within seconds the air becomes swift for a moment and I look up, seeing a figure stand between Jeff and jack-

"STOP!" He hisses and turns to jack, taking the knife off him "OR I SWEAR I WILL TEAR THE FLESH OF OF YOU BOTH!"

Jeff and jack stare, gob smacked at how he got here so quick. Jack puffed, grabbed his knife and left. The figure turned to Jeff and glared at him.

"LIKE WISE WITH YOU... LEAVE"

Jeff looks at me before merging out the door. I look at the figure and he swiftly moves towards me, scaring the life out of me. He glares me straight in the eye-

"And I advise you keep your distance from me girlie or else I will tear every single piece of flesh from your body and mount you to my wall" he hisses before flying out the window

I was frozen in fear... What the heck just happened?

The picture of his boney body, almost like a skeleton in fact. His orange eyes glaring at me. In my mind i continuously try to forget but the image remains. I close the window and take a deep breath.

I walk over to the bed which I laid in previously before laying down, looking at the moonlight beaming through the window.
