Story 22 Long Distance

*Thursday 9th of December 2021 2pm*

Jen: I don't want you to go

David:  I'm sorry I have to go honey, but I'll be back on Monday

They were stood in the driveway of their house in L.A. David had to fly to New York to sort some stuff out for work. He had checked all the flights for that day and couldn't find any that had more than 1 free seat and he had to go then because it couldn't wait.

She hugged him tighter than she had ever hugged anyone and gave him a long passionate kiss before finally letting him go. He held her tight until he had to go before he missed the flight. He got in the car and drove off waving to her through the window. She stood waving at the end of the drive until she could no longer see the car. She went back inside and tried to film a video for Vital proteins to post in a couple of days. Once she had filmed it, she sat down on the couch and watched some TV. She couldn't stop thinking about David and felt very lonely, so she phoned Courteney.

Jen: Hey Court

Court: Hi Jen

Jen: Are you free the next couple of days until Monday?

Court: Yeah why?

Jen: David's gone to New York for work and I'm lonely, you can come and stay here until Monday morning if you want.

Court: Ok, shall I bring Coco as well to keep you company?

Jen: Yeah that would be great, thank you

Court: Ok we'll pack our bags and we'll be over in about an hour.

Jen: Ok I'll see you then, love you bye

Court: Love you too, bye--About and hour later Jen heard a knock on her door. She went and opened the door to Coco and Courteney with their bags. She let them in and Courteney gave her a big hug to try and comfort her. She knew how much Jen loved David and could only imagine what she was feeling. They all went and sat on the couch and chatted for a bit.

Court: Jen are you ok you look so distant.

Jen: I'm ok, I just miss David

Court: It'll all be ok you get to see him again on Monday.

Jen: Yeah, I guess I am being quite dramatic, but we've managed to avoid having to leave each other for more than a couple of hours until now and I just want to hug him again.

Court: You two have done very well to avoid it for so long then.

Jen: You and Johnny are away from each other a lot. How do you do it?

Court: I kind of got used to it after a little while

Jen: Ok, let's hope I can adjust as well

Court: Yes

Coco: Shall we play a board game to take your mind off of him?

Jen: Sure. You can go pick one, you know where they are.

Coco got up and went to the cupboard in the office with all the games in it. She came back a few minutes later with Cluedo in her hand. She set it up and they all played together until it was time for dinner. They all worked together to make some Greek pasta that they ate together at the dining table. After that they played pool and Court and Jen drank wine and Coco had a martini minus the alcohol.

 Once she was drunk she didn't feel so sad anymore, she still missed her beloved David but she was able to be happy now.

They spent the next few days keeping Jens mind off of David by going in the pool playing games baking and messing around. She tried to not think of him too much and acted happy for Courteney and Coco's sake. She would text him nonstop throughout the day to make up for not being able to see him in person and hug him and sometimes if he had time he would facetime her before she went to bed to say goodnight and then would wait until she fell asleep to end the call. On the nights he couldn't call she would lay awake thinking about him longing to be with him.

*Monday 13th December 2021 6am*

Jen woke up especially early because David had texted the night before to say that he would be arriving at around 8am

She leapt out of bed and got dressed in her workout clothes and went and worked out. It was now 7am she showered and got dressed in Jeans and an t-shirt then went and made a smoothie. 

She was sat eating her smoothie when she heard a car engine outside. Her heart skipped a beat and was immediately overwhelmed with emotions as she jumped off her chair and ran to the door. She flung it open to reveal David just getting out of his car. She sprinted down the drive and leapt into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck. He put his hands under her and held her there. She kissed him with all the passion she had. She didn't ever want to let go, she just clung onto him like a little baby in his arms. Her head was rested on his shoulder and she was hugging him as tight as she could. He kissed her hair and she slowly and reluctantly slid down to stand on her feet again. She stood there hugging his waist, her head on his chest. She clearly wasn't planning on letting go anytime soon and neither was he so he picked her up again and carried her inside locking the door of the car behind him. He left all his bags in there because all he wanted to do in that moment was cuddle up with his Jenny and catch up on the last 5 days.

They spent the rest of the day in bed, cuddling, messing around, and let's just say there was quite a bit of sex involved.

They were both overjoyed to have each other back after a week of being lonely.
