Story 72 Spin the bottle

It was 11pm and Jen received a message from David saying that he was in town so she decided to throw a dinner party for the next evening. She invited him and he agreed immediately to come to her house for 4pm the next day. Jen then messaged all the rest of her friends to ask if they could come over for 4 as well, then went to sleep.

In the morning she checked her phone to see who could come on such short notice.

Andrea and Her husband, Courteney, Jason and Amanda, Adam Sandler and his wife, Ellen and Portia and Chris McMillan were the ones who had replied to say they could come.

It came to 3:45 and Jen was sat on the couch waiting for everyone to arrive after running around the house all day making food and preparing. Everything was now set up and ready in the kitchen and outside on the patio. Then she heard a knock at the door and went to answer it, it was Courteney.

One by one everyone started arriving. David was the last to arrive and when he did Jen answered the door and they both practically threw themselves at each other. They hugged for ages until they finally let go.

Jen: Heyyyy, It's been ages since I've seen you, I 've missed you

David: I knowww, I missed you too

He followed her out to the patio where everyone was sat. He said hi to them all and sat down where there was a space at the table (which just so happened to be right next to where Jen was sat). Jen had laid the table in advance so they all started eating and chatting as the sun set in the sky behind them. As it got dark the plates became more and more empty as all the food slowly disappeared.

When it was all gone, Jen took all the plates inside and they all sat on the ground in a circle. Jen was sat on the opposite side of the circle now from David which she was sat about but that all changed when Courteney suggested that they play spin the bottle. Everyone agreed because they were a bit drunk. So they found one of the empty bottles of wine from dinner and sat it in the middle of the circle.

Courteney: So... rules are.. we take it in turns to spinning the bottle and whoever each end lands have to stand up in the middle of the circle and kiss.

The first person went and it landed on Adam and Amanda so they got up went to the middle and pecked each other on the lips.

Next it landed on Jen and Courteney so they stood up went to the middle and kissed. They were a lot more comfortable with each other than Adam and Amada were so their kiss was more than just a peck.

Next it landed on Chris and David. They stood up and went to the middle and pecked each other while Jen sat there staring longingly wishing she was Chris in that moment. David was thinking the same, he wished that Chris was Jen.

At last they got their wish when Jen spun the bottle and it landed on her and David. They stood up trying their best to conceal their excitement. They walked as close to each other as they could get and locked lips. They made sure to break apart after a couple of seconds to not make it obvious but their efforts failed. As they walked away to sit down Courteney took them up on it.

Court: Uhhh what was that?

Jen and David: What?

Court: Emm you lingered, both of you

Jen: We did not

Court: I'm not blind I saw it

David: We just kissed like everyone else then walked away

Court: You can believe that but you definitely lingered. Also you've both been flirting with each other all night.

Jen: No we haven't
