Story 21 David's birthday surprise

*October 30th 2021*

*Jen's pov*

 I was sat in the living room catching up on some emails when I felt a sudden surge of sickness come over me. David was out at the shops getting some fruit and veg because we ran out. I ran to the bathroom and threw up in the toilet. After what felt like hours of throwing up I sank back on to the floor leant up against the bathroom wall. I felt so weak so I just sat there trying to get my breath back. When I did I got my phone from my pocket and phoned Court as I didn't want to worry David while he was out and I knew Court was at home. 

Court:  Hey Jen what's up?

Jen:  Well I kinda just threw up.

Court:  Oh my gosh Jen are you ok?

Jen:  Not really no.

Court:  Where's David? Does he know?

Jen:  He's out at the shops and I didn't call him because I knew he would get really worried.

Court:  I'm on my way over now I'll be there in five minutes.

Jen:  I'll come get the door if I can get up.

Court: Don't worry I know the code and I have a key, you just stay where you are.

Jen: Thank you Court, see you soon.

Court: Bye 

Soon I heard the door opening and closing and Court's footsteps coming through the hall.

Court:  Where are you Jen?

Jen:  I'm in the bathroom

Courteney walked in to find a very weak, pale Jen sat on the floor smiling weakly up at her.

Court: Oh my god Jen you look so weak, are you feeling ok?

Jen: I'm better than I was when I called but still not the best.

Court: Let's get you cleaned up and into bed.

She walked over to me and helped me onto my feet. She helped me walk to my closet and found my favourite pyjamas. I put them on slowly and then she came and helped me into bed. 

Jen: Thank you Court, you didn't have to do all that.

 Court: Yes I did Jen you couldn't move for goodness sakes. I'm going to go sit in the living room if you need me just call.

Jen: Wait what should I tell David?

Court: I'll just tell him you ate some out of date yoghurt or something until we find out what's wrong with you.

Jen: Ok thanks.

Court: If you need anything Ill be through here.

Jen:  Thank you bye bye.

Court left and went and read a magazine on my couch.

About half an hour later I heard the door opening again and I heard David's sweet voice talking to Court.

David:  Hey Court, What are you doing here, and where's Jen.

Court:  Jen's in the bedroom napping. She threw up and called me because she didn't want to worry you.

David:  Ok, thanks for looking after her for me. Is she ok?

Court: When I found her she was really weak but I checked on her when she was asleep and she was looking a bit better.
