I followed Ty as he led us down a slope with a very distinct pathway down to the beach, the sides of the path being about shoulder high for me, just about rib high for Devon was rather frustrating. It was all sand but there was high grass on the top of the walls, and there wasn't a hint of vegetation on the three foot wide trail all down slope.

"So what time is it?" I asked, slightly weary of how tired I am from the long day I had, although I did sleep earlier.

"Time for you to get a watch." Ty said smoothly, but I couldn't help the growl escape my lips, causing both Devon and Matt to laugh. As we went down the path the sun got lower, the walls beside us got higher, and my shoes got sand in them. I sighed in relief when we finally made it to the shore, because those sand humps were much taller then me by the time we were done.

"Let's go do 'girly stuff'!" I yelled tugging Devon's hand towards the ocean.

"Like what?" He asked scrunching up his nose in distaste, and I resisted the urge to make him lay in the sand with me and cuddle.

"How about find weird beachy things?" I felt the sun hit me and I loved the way there was light but no overwhelming heat.

"Okay." He said grinning at me. He winked at me and I knew exactly what his face read. His lips curled into a sly grin as I saw him coming up with the plan. He was going to try and tickle me!

"Don't you dare! Or I will personally jump in that water!" As opposed to making someone else do it? Not a good argument Kaitlyn. He took one step towards me and I took a step back taking off my shirt, so I was in a black camisole.

"I am completely serious!" Another step and I hopped around, pulling off my shoes, ignoring the cool salty breeze hitting my bare skin. He advanced again and I jumping backwards, stumbling from my jeans so I was in my spandex.

I pointed pointed a finger at him daring him to advance. "Devon Chance Maxwell! I give you one more warning!"

"Baby, you wouldn't really." He took one more step.

With a sharp turn away from him, barely missing him grabbing at me, I dived in pushing away from the shore, the cold water enveloping me, making my whole body numb. I hardly heard Devon scream my name when an urge to be an idiot overtook me and I swam out farther, till I couldn't even stand. Which honestly wasn't that far, the ocean here is a slant that would be great for divers if the weather was more tropical or at least warm in the summer. I broke the surface and Devon stood on the sand his arms crossed, glaring at me.

"Come back here right now!"

"Don't tell me what to do." I snapped pointedly, "I told you I would do it, and I did just that."

Baby. His voice pleaded.

Why?

Because you are going to get sick! Not to mention how dangerous this is!!!

The cold water was taking my senses away and all I could taste was the salt on my lips.

Come and get me! I mocked.

What? Are you crazy? Get back here now, I think high tide is starting.

He was right, as much as I hate to admit, I could feel the waves tugging me inland and then pushing me farther away.

Fine!

I dove and made it back to a fuming Devon in about two minutes tops.

"Don't ever do that again! You could have gotten hurt!" He handed me my clothes and slipped his jacket over my shoulders. He glared at me for a second before pulling me by the waist towards him, Devon's arms holding me like he almost lost me.
