[DYLAN'S POV]

It was a warm summer day, the day before the first day of the 2020 school year. Alya, Ivan and I were taking a walk around the estate, munching away at our own little packets of chips. When we got to the dam, we set up a picnic blanket and sat down.
"This is the life." Ivan said.
When we finished with lunch, we laid down on our backs with our eyes up to the sky.
"Have you ever thought about what you want to do with yourself someday?" I asked, mesmerised in the clouds.
"I haven't really thought about it that way." said Alya.
"Well, all I can think of is doing this again." Ivan said as he sat up straight to take another bite of his slider.
Alya looked down at her phone, "Shoot, my mom's going to be here soon."
"You're right, it's just about time that you'd get going." I sat up.
"Same time, same place, Saturday?" Ivan asked.
"Anytime." I said.
I had just walked Alya and Ivan to the gate to be picked up by their parents, but then I remembered I'd forgotten my school cap at the dam, so I decided to make a quick detour for it. On my way, my friend, Natalie, was keeping me busy. I was so invested in my phone that I had completely ignored everything going on around me. When I got back to the dam, I sat down and typed up a reply for my friend. I then looked up from my phone, as I felt I was getting a little too warm from the heat and saw something rushing towards me from the sky.
"What the hell?" I ran for cover. Upon the object's impact I was an thrusted away from the dam. The next thing I knew, everything went blank.

I gasped at the sound of my alarm, as it nearly made me fall out of bed. I heaved a large sigh and got up to get ready for school. The moment I sat down to put on my tekkies, I got a group video call from Alya and Ivan. "What are you guys doing on the phone so early?" I teased.
"Look, when I got home, something very weird happened." Ivan said.
"Same happened to me." Alya said.
"Yeah, I was hit by a meteor, and then I woke up with this strange wristband on my left arm," I showed my left wrist to the camera.
"I got one as a headband." Alya showed her head.
"And mine is a ring." Ivan revealed his hand.
"Anyway...." I said awkwardly, "I need to bounce because I don't want to be late for the bus."
"Okay, I'll see you two at school." Alya left the call.
"Cheers, bra, and don't be late." Ivan hung up the phone. I finished getting ready for school and headed to the gate to catch the bus.
