[DYLAN'S POV]
The group and I got out of the car at my uncle's house. From there, we walked to a house down the street.
"Are you sure this is the place?" Martha asked.
"It is," I sighed, "just as I remember it from all those years ago."
"Are we all ready for this?" Martha asked.
"We've come this close by now, we can't turn around now." I took a deep breath and proceeded to press the buzzer. Moments thereafter, the camera on top of the buzzer sprung to life before the gate was flung open. We looked at one another and walked in by the gate. We waited for a moment until a tall, blonde-haired guy walked towards us. I knew that face.
"Dylan?" Eric asked, my eyes widened as he rushed toward me for a hug. He was much taller now than he was 4 years ago, and smelled better for the most part.
The gang and I sat down on his couch.
"So, how've you been, wherever you are now?" Eric put his hand on my shoulder.
"Well, it's been chaotic, but I've been adjusting quite-." I was rudely interrupted.
"As much as I would love to watch this reunion a little longer, we have a lot more important things to do." Isaac faffed.
"We know that you have the Broach of Nature." Martha said.
He tried to deny it, "I don't know what you're talking ab-"
We all then showed him our pendants that began to glow as something in his shirt's pocket began to do the same. He doubled over as if he was struck with sudden nausea.
"You'll get used to us." Alya rolled her eyes.
"Fine." Ethan said as he fastened his broach onto his pocket, "Just as you know that I have this. I have a lurking suspicion that the Mountain Range is where we should be looking for answers." Eric pointed to the nearest mountain visible just outside the window, "It's where I got my pendant when I was hiking a few weeks ago."
"We'll have to go there, but when?" I asked.
"I've got plans tomorrow, but I'm free on Saturday." Ivan looked at me.
"I have a swimming gala tomorrow, so I'd rather go on Saturday." Eric stroked the back of his neck.
"It looks like Saturday is the most convenient time for us all." Martha said.
"It's decided then," I looked out at the mountain, "on Saturday, we will find our answers."
