[DYLAN'S POV]
Martha had just formed a wall of sea water to protect us from Cogat's blast. She looked back at us as she tried to keep the wall up. "Guys, I can't keep this thing up forever! If you have any bright ideas, speak now or forever hold your peace!"
Alya perched up, as if she'd just had an epiphany. "I have an idea. Just stay here. Dylan, I'm going to need you for this one; you thinking what I'm thinking?"
I looked at her and held my hand out to her, giving her permission to take hold. "Let's do it!"
We dashed out from behind the wall and used our combo-move. "Mirage!" We were invisible. Alya blew us up from the ground and onto one of the boatshed's roofs. We ran together and hopped from rooftop to rooftop until we were close enough to Cogat and shot a fiery tornado at her to distract her while Martha took a quick breather after keeping the water wall up. We returned to her side and checked if she was okay.
"How you doing, sis?" Alya placed a hand on her upper back.
"It... it felt like the life was being sucked out of me just now." she said.
"Do you think it's time to give Osmosis a go?" I looked back at Cogat, who was still cooling off underwater from the fires.
"Yeah. There's only one way to find out if I can do this. Oh, and on one condition, I'm doing this my way." She stood up, turned away from us, looked down at the water, made a running start and swan dived into the water; leaving a bowl of foam which floated to the surface, signaling to us that she transformed already.[MARTHA'S POV]
I was back. I saw Cogat recuperating a few meters away from me in the water. 'Gotcha!' I thought as I charged towards her, and of course, she held her forearms up to block.
'You really thought I would leave myself wide open? Pathetic!' Her voice was so loud in my head.
I was forced back as she flung a blow to my stomach. I audibly recoiled, sending bubbles flying from my mouth. She then charged at me and put me in a chokehold against the ocean floor. I smirked at her feeble attempt to strangle me. 'I can breathe underwater, remember.'
'Oh, I remembered, and then some.' She tightened her grip around my throat and forced me even harder into the ocean floor. The water around us began to swirl and glow as we began to float to the surface, and then higher out of the water and into mid-air. Energy began to swirl around us as I began to lose more and more of my strength.
"Martha!" Ivan tried to get to me, but Alec stopped him.
I could hear them starting to argue above the water. "Ivan, this is something she has to do on her own. If you interrupt, you could kill her." He yelled at him. I mean, it already felt like I was dying.
