Chapter 2: Everything's Not So Perfect

No One's Point of View

After dinner everyone decided to shower and play games all night. Except Iroh he wanted sleep. They decided to play a game Sokka made up. "Have You or Would You." It was when someone would ask a random question and everyone else would answer I Have, Would, or Wouldn't.

Sokka asked the first question. "Would you attack someone for a petty reason?"

Mai: Have       Ty Lee: Wouldn't        Aang: Wouldn't              Suki: Would                Toph: Have

Katara: Would               Zuko: Would          Sokka: Have

Toph asked, "Try to assassinate someone? Because I have"

Mai: Have, Would, and done it       Ty Lee: Wouldn't       Aang: Wouldn't      Suki: Would

Katara: Have but didn't go through with it    Zuko: Same here   Sokka: Depends

Then Aang asked "Become a vegetarian?" 

Mai: Would    Toph: Wouldn't   Sokka: Definitely not   Suki: I would   Katara: Would   Zuko: Would as long as the veggies are spicy.  Ty Lee: Have!

Soon everyone got tried and decided to go to bed. Everyone slept in a circle on the floor. (Because why not? :)  

Katara woke up early startled. She walked around various halls to see if anyone was there. After being satisfied and calling herself silly, she walked back to the rest of her friends. She turned the corner and nearly screamed seeing a figure right in front of her.

Zuko Pov

I thought I heard footsteps. I saw everyone was still asleep except Katara. I went to see if she was walking around the palace or something. As I neared the corner, I saw her only a few inches away from my face. It looked like she was about to scream but I lit a small fire in my palm to indicate it was just me.

"Zuko." She spoke

"Why are you up this early?" I asked her.

"Thought I heard something but, I'm fine really." She assured me.

"Well, I guess I'm not that tired anymore." I spoke.

"Me either. Wanna talk upstairs so we don't wake the others?" Katara asked.

I agreed thinking nothing would happen, and I didn't have anything to do.

Katara Pov

Zuko and I were in a library enjoying each other's company. We decided to have a few drinks as well. Zuko was different from Aang. He didn't always have a cheerful smile, but it made him seem so mysterious. His golden eyes shine so well in the sun. You even get to see the upper red in them.  I think I had found Zuko attractive since our time in the catacombs, but he seemed so happy with Mai. I felt he understood me in ways Aang didn't. When we embraced, I loved the warm feeling he gives. I was also happy to be by his side when taking down his sister. Zuko even took a lightning bolt for me. I started to wonder what would have happened between us if Mai and Aang weren't in the picture.

"Katara?" I heard Zuko call for me.

"Uh yeah?" I answered.

"You seem to be staring into space." Zuko said concerned. 

I swallowed a lump in my throat and decided to tell Zuko about the connection I felt between us. "Zuko, do you remember our day in the catacombs?

Zuko: Yes
