Chapter 7: Getting on Some Good Sides

No One's Pov
Zuko and Katara were in an airship heading towards Republic City.
"How are we going to show our faces? You might be able to convince Sokka and Suki to forgive you, but what about Toph?" Zuko asked.
"Toph is also our best friend. She'll come around." Katara said.
"Listen, you think we're going to waltz in there and be like "Hey Toph. We came to meet Verena. Can you show us were Sokka and Suki live?" She'll earthbend us out the moment she senses us." Zuko replied

"It doesn't matter. I want to see them again. This nonsense going on between us needs to stop." Katara said.

"Alright fine. So how long have you been pregnant?" Zuko asked sitting next to Katara.

"Maybe a week or so." Katara replied

"Uh okay. Uhm how have you been feeling?" Zuko asked awkwardly.

"Cleary you're not the best at this. We can talk about it with our friends. You'll have some help." Katara teased back.

Zuko scoffed and soon the couple reached Republic City.

"Alright so last time I was here the Police Station was over here. I'm not sure if Aang still lives here or not. Toph most likely stayed here being the chief of police." Katara said walking with Zuko.

They reached the Police Station and walked in. They saw an officer with brown wavy hair and green eyes. "I'm Kanto, what can I do for you today." he asked

"We'd like to see Toph, or uhm Chief Beifong. (I literally don't know if it's that or Bei Fong) Katara asked.

"Automatically go to chief huh? I see little Fire Nation hairpieces. Royalty?" Kanto asked.

"We're actually-" Zuko started and got interrupted.

"Yeah, I know. Firelord Zuko and Firelady Katara. Or as I hear from Chief, that scum Sparky and that snake Sugar Queen.  I'll get Chief for you." Kanto said walking away while laughing.

Toph Pov

I felt Sparky's and Sugar Queen's footsteps outside all the way from in her. I felt Kanto walking towards me, so I leaned back into my chair getting ready for this conversation.

"O-h-h-h My Queen. Someone's here to see you." Kanto said in a song voice.

"I've told you not to call me that if were at work." Toph said uninterested.

Kanto and I have been together for a few months now. He's like me in almost every way. The nicknames, the bending even though mines better, the sarcastic and childish attitudes, and we both have no respect for anyone but ourselves. Our relationship was a weird one, according to Sokka. He thinks were goofing around, it's true but still. Nice guy to have as my wing man. 

"Oh, I've very sorry Queen." Kanto said smirking.

"What do they want?" I asked

"To see you dear." Kanto replied.

"Ugh, don't call me that ever again or I'll bend a boulder down your throat." I threatened getting up.

"Then you would have no one to accompany you in the ways I do." he smirked.

I walked right past him, and sensing he was following right behind me, I bent a wall of Earth right in his face. He ran right into it and I choked down a laugh.

He bent it down himself and called me a bitch. I laughed at his foolishness and went to see Katara and Zuko.

"What's up Dunderheads?" I asked as chill as ever.

"Toph, we are so glad to see you. How are you?" Katara sked. I realized she was trying to keep it simple.

"Fine. Busting criminals, and filling out paperwork.
