Chapter 8: It's over

Aang Pov

I just don't get it. I loved her and gave her everything she wanted, asked to her to marry me, then cheated on me and broke my heart, tell her she's dead to me, I still support her by going to her wedding, get called a bad friend, and to run into her all over again. 

"Aang you're here." she spoke.

"Well, I got invited. Even without warning." I said glaring at Sokka who walked up behind Katara.

"Aang, I swear I'm going to ring your scrawny little neck, if you leave me in the middle of this place like that again." someone spoke.

"It's that crazy princess!" Toph shouted.

Katara got in a bending form, Sokka pulled out his boomerang, then Zuko, Toph, and Kanto came in ran up to the door.

"I've heard about her. I'm out!" Kanto said running out of the house through a back door I suppose.

"Wimp!" I heard Toph scream at him.

"Why are you here Azula?" Zuko said.

"All these years and you couldn't find a better way to greet your sister?" Azula smirked.

"Shouldn't you be in the asylum?" Katara asked.

"I was, but then a certain avatar came and broke me free." Azula said wrapping an arm around my neck."

"WHAT?!" everyone screamed. 

"Why would you do something so stupid Aang?" Katara asked.

"I don't know, maybe because we're in love." I said rolling my eyes referring to the time Katara said her and Zuko were in love after pulling her stupid stunt.

"You can't possibly be serious." She said to me.

"Oh, but I can. If I can remember correctly, you told me you were in love, and married that person. I can do just the same." I said.

Katara stood there taken back.

"Aang what's gotten into you?" Zuko asked.

"Dude, I told her she was dead to me a long time ago. Maybe you can fool these people with your apologies, but not me. I guess have changed. I'm not vulnerable like I use to be. I don't forgive and forget. Maybe I did come to your wedding, but you want to know why I really came." "I said crossing my arms.

~Flashback 4 months before Katara's and Zuko's wedding~

I had gotten a letter from the Firelord announcing he would be marrying Katara.

Dear Aang, we know this might be a little unexpected and surprising, but Katra and I decided to get married. We love if you join us for a long overdue dinner. We sent letters to the rest of the Gaang. We hope we see you. The Avatar is also needed here in the Fire Nation.

I couldn't believe it. Watch my ex-Fiancé marry my best friend. Toph, Sokka, and Suki all came to Air Temple Island to see me.

"If it's about the letter I don't care." I said trying to go back to meditating.

"I know things between you and my sister are... complicated, but it's been months." Sokka said.

"Sokka, I don't care if you guys go to the party. I know I just don't want to." I said.

"Twinkletoes listen. So, Sugar Queen hurt you. You can't let it get to you. If you don't move on, you're going to fall into depression state." Toph said.
