You woke up to very bright lights and the steady beeping of the heart monitor. Am I dead? Is this Ohio? You questioned. Only to simply giggle that thought away as you slowly regained consciousness. As you woke and your vision cleared, you felt a strange goggle or glasses thingamabob on your face. It was perched on the bridge of your nose where you could see it had thick lenses. You giggle again. I have died and been reincarnated as a nerd.

"Oh my god look she's not dead!" You heard someone say.

"Oh don't be so morbid Kachann, she wasn't even dead, to begin with, just unconscious."

You slowly blinked, squinting your eyes at the brightness that greeted you. "Ow." You tried to rub your eyes but hit the funky glasses. You giggle again. "Ha. I'm a nerd." You slurred.

You continued to groggily poke at the glasses, giggle and ohing at the strange design. "Nerd. Nerd. Nerd." You sung. "I kinda look like Iida." You stretched your hand to imitate Iida's usual firm hand, but yours just flopped awkwardly. "Rules guys. Must follow or else it is detention." You mocked.

"Ahem. I am glad to see you are awake Y/N." A voice greeted you.

Is it Iida? You squint your eyes to get a clearer sight. Yes, it is. "Iida old chap! Look at me, look at me, we're twinning!" You pointed to the circles around your eyes with one hand, while the other clung onto Iida's arm. "See?"

"Amusing Y/N." Iida sounded exasperated. He pushed his rectangular glasses, not similar to your circular ones, briefly shutting then opening his eyes in an attempt to stay calm. "How are you feeling?"

"Ya Y/N? Are you okay?" You heard Mina ask.

You cackled. "I feel great. Whatever they're giving me for the pain is fantastic." You still clutched Iida's arm and now were swinging it around in circles. "I feel floaty."

Iida's face twisted in minor discomfort and lightly plucked your hand from his arm. He walked to the foot of your bed, switching places with Mina and Kirishima, who were still very worried. Mina wrapped you in a tight hug. Kirishima lightly squeezed your should and flashed a kind smile.

"You passed out Y/N. You gave me a heart attack." Mina told you. "All of a sudden after you shot Bakugo you started acting weird."

"Really?" You started to feel in your right mind, the painkillers wearing off. You pinched the bridge of your nose as your headache slowly began to throb slightly.

"Ya," Kirishima said. "Mina was screaming and when Iida and I came to see what was wrong you were unconscious against the wall."

You realized what had happened. "Shit." You overused your quirk.

"Did you pass out from stress? Maybe your quirk? How are you feeling now?" Deku and Mina bombarded you with questions.

"I-" You tried to answer before Recovery Girl spoke for you.

She popped up out of the blue, coming to check on you now that you were conscious. " A part of Y/N's quirk requires her to enhance her vision if she desires an accurate hit. It takes a lot of energy and strength to do so. When her vision part of her quirk, we call it Seer, is used a lot during training or a mission, she usually will have blurry vision the following day or immediately after. It can be treated with a special process that she knows how to use and I hope doesn't forget to do every night." She gave you a sharp look.

You gave a weak smile. "I try to be consistent. Usually, I am unless I am too tired or it slips my mind."

Recovery Girl took off your glasses to apply eye drops, then put your glasses back on. "However, if Y/N were to use Seer excessively, for example, when she needed to see through Bakugo's smokescreen, it required a lot of energy and put strain on her eyes. Hence, she not only experiences blurriness of the eyes, but an intense migraine resulting in temporary blindness from pain." She scribbled down your vitals and lowered the pain medication. "If she doesn't take care of her eye health, annual optometry appointments, and sticks to her routine; she could slowly become blind."

Recovery Girl smiled at you. "Your routine for the next two weeks should be morning and night, instead of the usual nighttime only. I am going to prescribe you glasses similar to the ones you are wearing now, and you are to wear them whenever you are looking at a screen or using your quirk. I suggest you take it easy." She turned towards Aizawa, who was silent up till now.

She handed him a bottle of pills. "These will help with migraines or sharp pains in or around her eyes. One a day only, it is strong enough. "

Aizawa took the bottle and pocketed it. "Understood. Will she recover from her blurry vision today or tomorrow?"

"Her eyes sight for today and tomorrow will be blurry, but manageable. She should be able to read if she squints. I do recommend someone walks with her to guide her until the weekend. "

     "Alright. Thank you."

"Yes. Thank you Recovery Girl." You gave her a thumbs-up as you thanked her.

     "Your very welcome sweetie."

Aizawa turned his attention to you. "I am glad you are alright Y/N. Now that we know overusing the Seer part of your quirk is harmful, we can work on strengthening your training around that. However, in the meantime I want you to rest your eyes as much as you can. I am going to assign Mina to be your guide since she can follow you to most places. Does that sound fair?"

     "Yes, Mr. Aizawa."

"You might want to fight me on this one, but there will be no quirk training from you. The gym is open for physical and endurance, but no quirk allowed."

You sighed. Dammit. You really hated being babied, especially when you were being abased while wearing embarrassing glasses in front of your classmates. "Yes sir, I understand."

"Good. I'll see you in class tomorrow. If you need anything Recovery Girl is here." He stood up from his chair and began to usher out his classmates. "Say goodbye to Y/N, you will see her tomorrow."

Mina and Kirishima gave you a hug before saying an encouraging goodbye.

Deku wished that you felt better and nudged Bakugo in the ribs to say something along those lines. "Bye-bye Y/N!" Deku called out.

Iida was the last to leave only saying, "I hope you feel better. Good night." With that, your classmates had left you alone in the infirmary, with Recovery Girl occasionally checking in on you.

You stayed up to watch some tv on dim lighting with the stupid clunky Harry Potter-looking glasses. You munched a few snacks, including a yummy sandwich for dinner. Recovery girl helped you with your eye care and gave you the glasses you would start wearing tomorrow.

"For two weeks, you should wear them all day except when sleeping, but I'll accept if you just wear them in front of screens or when it becomes hard to see. I will be upping your eye drop prescription and inform your father. He sends hugs and kisses and something called a Mush Mush." Recovery Girl made her exit and you decided it was late enough to head to bed.

You smiled happily knowing that your friends hoped you felt better, but also that your dad sent mush mush. Mush Mush was when he booped your nose twice and said: "Mush Mush." He did it when you felt upset or down, and it always cheered you up. You missed having him around but appreciated the air Mush Mush.

You fell asleep as fast as you could, the light and quiet beeping of the monitors keeping you awake. You finally fell asleep after counting bagels.
