You were discharged from the medical wing two days after Kirishima woke up.Kirishima received a flood of air hugs and cards, and his friend's kindness made him flash his popular and manly toothy smile. The red head was bed ridden and wouldn't be out of the med wing or cleared for training for months.
Class 2A staggered each day, spending their time with Kirishima before going about their day. It seemed like it was just you and Bakugou that were visiting and staying the longest. You were obligated to come in and see Recovery Girl everyday for a quick eye exam, and Bakugou tagged along for two reasons; one because he said so, and two because he can. Not very good reasons in your opinion, but you weren't willing to argue with him.
Kirishima had pulled you aside after Bakugou went to eat dinner with the rest of the class to talk. He thanked you for being there for Bakugou and for being his medical buddy for the few days you spent when Kirishima was awake. You dusted the thank you's over your shoulder saying, "of course, anything for my friends." You left Kirishima after Recovery Girl was done examining your eyes, and brushed past Bakugou who was making his daily visit with Kirishima.
Aizawa had given you the go ahead to train, but he made it crystal clear that there were to be no quirks involved. You had tried to reason, push even, for just a minute or two of quirk training, but Aizawa shot you down with a warning that if you were asked again there would be no training. You took what you could get and stomped off to the gym to train.
You stop by your room to change into something comfortable, leggings and a tank top. You grabbed a water bottle and sneakers, bringing Advil in case of a headache.
Down in the common area to make yourself a snack, opting for cereal. You pour yourself a bowl of cornflakes and dried strawberries with a glass of milk. As you shuffle the utensil drawer for a spoon someone walks into the kitchen.
"Afternoon Y/N." Iida greets you a little too cheerfully. He wore a navy t-shirt and matching track pants.
You grumbled out a partial hello, wired in on your cereal.
"Aren't you supposed to pour the milk into the cereal?" Iida looks at you judgingly as you get ready to take a bite.
You turned your head towards him and painfully slowly took a spoonful of flakes and strawberries into your mouth, then took a big gulp of milk, then chewed and swallowed it. You held his gaze with wide eyes the entire time. You let out a satisfied sigh. "Milk just makes the cereal soggy. Plus only crazy people pour their milk into their cereal."
Iida blinked quizzically. "I'm pretty sure it's the other way around."
"Are you calling me crazy?" You said through a mouthful, hand striking your heart dramatically. "It's too early to be insulted."
"I'm not insulting you. Maybe try eating faster."
Iida made a sandwich and leaned against the fridge to eat it. You still had your back turned to him, facing the corner of the kitchen and focused on devouring the cereal. "Do you want to do quirk training with me?" Iida asked. "I'm headed to the gym after my sandwich.
His stupid small smile was softened by his relaxed brows and innocent eyes. "Can't." You placed your bowl into the sink. "Aizawa banned me from using my quirk outside of strengthening lessons." You rolled your eyes and filled your water bottle up with tap water and ice cubes.
Iida hummed. His sandwich hung limply in his hands and he dipped it down, like how you would greet somebody when you wore a hat. "Then do you want to just spar?"
