Chapter Nine

    It all started at lunch. Denki and Jirou had come up with a plan. Well, more of an invite to a party. This upcoming weekend was an extended weekend, and UA was sending students home, which meant more time to hang out, and what better way to do that than with a party. Jirou and Denki explained to the class that there would be music, games, munchies, and much more.

    You sat with Deku at lunch, munching away at your sandwich. You both stared intently at Jirou and Denki as they rambled on and on, making you really want to go.

   "Only soda, juices, and water for beverages and we are going to have assortments of mini munchies with sweets and chips," Jirou announced while handing out invitations. "Anyone can come!"

     You took your invite and stuffed it in your bag. You knew you were going to go, now it was just a matter of convincing your dad and seeing who else was going.

    "Are you going Izuku?" You asked.

    "Oh yeah. I'll definitely be there." Deku said. "Denki said there was going to be limbo and bean bag toss. I am aiming for first place?"

   "First place in bean bag toss is mine." Bakugo butted in, "and first place in limbo is mine."

   "Okay, Kacchan. I'm guessing you have been practicing for this moment your whole life?"

      Kirishima walked up behind Bakugo and patted his shoulder and winked before walking towards Sero. "Nope. Just started practicing recently."

      Bakugo's face flushed red, you and Deku laughed. "Oh, I see. Thanks for the clarification Kirishima!" Deku shouted. Bakugo stormed after Kirishima, no doubt to complain to his 'not boyfriend'.

    You saw Iida out of the corner of your eye. He was walking over to your table, so Deku waved at him. "Hi, Iida!"

    "Hi, Izuku." He acknowledged your presence. "And hello to you to Y/N."

    You waved. "Are you going to the party?" You asked.

     "I most likely will be going," Iida said. "I hope there will be appropriate and safe games there."

    "Oh, there are going to be so many fun things, such as limbo, board games, bean bag toss, and other games. Trust me it will be fun." Midoriya explained.

     "I do like a good game of bean bag or a card game," Iida said.

      "I did not strike you as a fun person Iida." You said shockingly.

      "I can be a fun person Y/N. I just know when to differentiate when I should act somewhat civil." Iida said flatly.

      "I am sure Y/N is the same way, Iida." Deku intervened. "We all have our different personalities right guys?"

      "I agree Izuku." You said. "However, some people need to loosen up just a bit. I know Iida will be fun and enjoy the party."

      Iida scoffed. "I know."

     "But don't worry Iida," you added, "the music will be at the lowest volume and we will speak like well-rounded people. You know kinda like men at business meetings."

    You had a feeling that making that comment was not in your best interest. Iida began to fume every so slightly, and you could tell you had said quite enough. But the damage had already been done.

     "God, you are so annoying. I am so sick of hearing you constantly complain and be so unruly." Iida said unkindly. He walked towards Jirou, and Deku called out, "Hey that was a little mean."
