You had a clever idea while sitting in the sandbox of the children's playground with Iida. "Hey Iida," you asked, "can you push me on the swings?"

     "Sure."

"But I want you to spice it up."

Iida coughed, startled by your wording. "You want me to do what?"

"I want you to push me, but use a smidge of your quirk to make me soar."

"I'll race you." Iida challenge. "I'll even give you a head start."

"Don't princess me mister. I don't need a head start." With that you darted towards the swing set, leaving Iida in the dust. Obviously you had won.

You sat down on a swing and batted your eyes at him, impatiently signaling him to hop to and push you already. Well, it wasn't exactly a cutesy and innocent flutter of lashes, more like demanding and rushed blinking. Regardless of the lack of charm, it still did the trick. Iida tutted at you and took his position behind you

"You wanted to soar," Iida yelled, "so I'll send you to the moon!" He revved his engines and took off. You held on for dear life as he ran and flung you up and away into the now starry sky.

You screamed from adrenaline pumping through your veins and the freedom of your heart beating against your chest. You felt like the king of the sky, maybe of even the whole world. You felt alive and exalted. As you came back down you screamed and flailed your legs.

Iida caught you by the swing's chains and stilled the swing. "That was amazing!" You praised him. You were both breathing heavily, you from the thrill and Iida from the excitement. "Again, again!" You begged.

"One way flight to the moon coming right up M'lady." You were yet again being launched high into the night sky. The chains clanked as you swung back down, then momentum swung you back into the air.

Iida pushed you for several more rounds, caving into your demands. You wanted to get off mid swing, so you braced yourself and flung your body off the swing. You landed on your feet before tumbling down and rolling to a stop in the mulch.

"Are you okay Y/N?" Iida ran to you, concerned about your fall.

"It's just some dirt and scrapes." You brushed off the stinging in your feet from the landing. It was normal to feel that after jumping off a swing.

"I think we should head back. It's getting kind of late."

      "Ya, I think we should."

      "I had fun tonight."

"In all honesty Iida, you are fun to be around."

"Ah whatever." You turned your cheek slightly away from embarrassment. You also remembered what Bakugou told you when you asked him for advice. Sometimes you'll have to make the first move.

You weren't opposed to taking his hand in yours, a kiss on the cheek was somewhat permissible, but on the lips was a no go. Too soon you reasoned.

Before you both left the park you quickly pecked him on the cheek. Bold much? It was so light and quick that if Iida's eyes weren't on you he wouldn't haven't noticed it at all. He blushed and adjusted his glasses, probably to check if this was real or just a mix of weariness and blindness.

"What does this mean?" Iida asked, the over analyzing habit present as ever.

"It means I can tolerate you and wouldn't be opposed to going out on a date." You said date in a hushed tone hoping Iida might not catch it for the sake of your dignity.

Iida caught on and smiled slyly. "Out on a what?"

     "On a date." You grumbled.

"Little louder I still couldn't hear you."

"I like your nerdy ass and maybe we could go out on another DATE." You practically shouted every word while your face was bright red. "Happy now?

"I like you too Y/N." Was all he said before taking your hands in his and walking back to UA. He walked into the elevator in the common area smugly, a wide smile on his face.

He dropped you off at your dorm and said goodnight. You said goodnight too, and when you closed your door, you were grateful that he didn't push you or lean in for another kiss on the cheek or even a hug. It's like he knew your boundaries, which you appreciated.

You flopped down on your bean bag and immediately phoned Mina and Bakugou, claiming this was an emergency meeting. Within minutes the two barged into your room holding blankets and snacks, eager eyes meeting your gaze.

"Sooo," Mina teased, "how was your date?"

"Did you two shits kiss?" Bakugou inquired.

"Oh oh. Did you hold hands?" Mina cooed.

"Most importantly did you manage to confess or were you too much of a fucking coward?" Bakugou rolled his eyes.

You parted your fingers so your friends could see your eyes and your blush deepened. "Yes to all of them." Mina squealed and Bakugou rolled his eyes proudly.

"Finally!" He exclaimed, "I can get through my day in peace now and not have to suffer watching you two go in circles."

"Who made the first move?" Mina was bouncing up and down, giddy to know more.

"I did." God these two were so embarrassing.

"Atta girl." Bakugou congratulated you. "Now enough questions. Tell us everything and leave not a single damn detail out."

"It's late though, don't you guys want to sleep soon?" You asked.

"I'll pull an all-nighter to hear the story if I have to." Mina said.

"Or you tell us and then we crash here." Bakugou offered an alternative.

So you told Bakugou and Mina every little and big detail. From the cafe date, which the two confessed to setting you and Iida up, to the park. You told them about Iida pushing you on the swing and they squealed when you told them about the kiss on the cheek.

    "How romantic!" Mina gushed.

     "Tch. Fucking Sappy." Bakugou teased.

You guys continued to talk and gossip till the wee hours of morning, eventually crashing together on the bean bag. You were lucky to have friends to tell this to, and tomorrow you would find Kirishima straight away and bug him the whole day about your set up date.
