Let me ask you a question; when was the last time you cried? Laughed? Smiled? Felt happy? Felt sad? Felt angry? A few minutes? Hours? Try twenty something years of not feeling any emotions. That was until he met a certain boy, a certain brunette with Caribbean blue eyes. That was when everything changed.

"Good morning, Captain!" called the voice of his secret lover, Eren Jaeger. Although he wanted to blush and smile at the boy, all he could muster up was a slight wave of the hand. Though that was all the man could do, Eren still appreciated it. He's trying, he would remind himself before continuing on with his chores for the day.

Levi felt guilty; Eren was able to say 'I love you' or show affection freely, yet he couldn't. Did Eren feel as if Levi didn't love him enough to say it back? Or was the brat understanding about it? The captain wasn't too sure.

"Levi?" asked Section-Commander Hange as the duo stood, watching the Levi Squad as they were known all mess about with each other. Levi watched with an aching heart as his lover was embraced by others the way he wished to embrace him, watching him be complimented and seeing him blush. It hurt; it really did hurt to see his lover be so open with them when Levi himself struggled. But Eren understood why his significant other struggled to show emotion, struggled to be affectionate and there was no way in hell that he could blame him.

Noticing the duo looking over towards their little fun, the brunette smiled. His smile widened when he caught the slight blush on his captain's cheeks. Hange noticed also, a look of utter shock on her face though it morphed into one of concern when the man started talking.

"Oh no."

"What is it? What happened? Who died?" Hange exclaimed, Eren chuckling slightly at the sight. Hange gave a slight parental glare only for Eren to shrug with a smirk, eyes fixated on Levi.

"I think I just felt an emotion." The man commented, Hange's face one of slight annoyance which was a rarity in and of itself.

"You have got to be kidding me!" with that, Section-Commander Hange stormed off whilst Eren walked over and chuckled with his captain at the way Hange was acting. However, both were ecstatic to know that Levi could now show his emotions without it being so forced. Slowly, in due time, it would become a lot more natural for him which was what they needed.
