It wasn't supposed to be like this. It wasn't supposed to happen at all! Everything was going fine, why did it suddenly go to absolute shit? Surely none of them fucked up, did they? What could have caused this to happen? You're probably confused, aren't you? Well, allow me to take you through the tale step by step.

It was a rare, calm Monday morning when the squad was called to Commander Erwin Smith's office. Every member was confused but followed as their leader – Captain Levi Ackerman – as he led them to the commander's office. There, they were told to wait whilst they waited for Section Commander Hange to make her appearance. Once she arrived, the commander started to explain why they were there.

"So, the reason why I called for you lot to come here," started Erwin as he leant against his desk. "I have a mission for you lot. I need you to go to just outside the Krolva district and try to help with the titan infestation there."

Everyone looked at each other, prepared to help out with this infestation around the Krolva district. It hadn't really been kept quiet, and it seemed as though the situation just got increasingly severe with each update that came from that area of the walls. With the way things were going, the squad wouldn't be too surprised if Wall Rose got kicked in like Wall Maria had those five years ago in the Shiganshina district.

"So how many titans have been reported to be in that area?" Eren inquired, shocking everyone but Erwin who didn't really seem too shocked that Eren was the one to ask that question.

"About twelve dozen." Replied the blonde, watching as their faces became grave at the almost impossible odds. "However, I know that picking you lot would be the best decision. You are all veterans, you have two Ackermans amongst and a titan shifter. I'm positive you will come back unscathed." Oh, how wrong you were, Erwin Smith. The squad nodded, failing to notice how Eren looked uncomfortable at the mention of him being a titan shifter.

Soon the Levi Squad and Hange were on the road, charging towards Krolva to help with the titan infestation which was caused by twelve dozen titans. My question is, Eren thought as they raced forward on their horses, how did they get in? We sealed up Wall Maria, so they didn't get in through there. Or did another part of the wall get kicked in? Shaking the thoughts from his head, the brunette focused on the task ahead.

"Eren," Levi had said before they left the Castle. "I have one main request for you this mission."

"What is it, Heichou?" Eren had asked, helping to adjust the saddle on the ravenette's horse before looking up to see the serious face of his captain. "Heichou?"

"Promise me you'll stay near me," the man murmured, resting his hand on his brat's head. "I have a bad feeling about this mission, and I need at least one certain thing. If that's you being safe, then so be it. I'm not about to let you die on me, got it, brat?"

"Yes, sir!" Eren murmured gently, smiling up at the man before saddling his horse and waiting for Levi to give the order. He really had a bad feeling about this mission Erwin was sending them on.

Three hours. That's how long they had been fighting, but the titans just kept coming in packs of twenty, at least. From where the group stood upon Wall Rose, their hearts were plummeting as increasingly more titans appeared below them. "We can't keep doing this," Connie noted as he wrapped one of his many wounds he had sustained from the endless fighting. "Either we're gonna die from exhaustion," the grey-haired boy looked to where Eren looked about ready to collapse, "or one or more of us is gonna get eaten."
