Zeke glanced over at where Eren was sat, reading the first Harry Potter book again. A few weeks ago, the blonde had met some of the people from the past who were in the same predicament however they have their memories unlike Eren. "Hey, Eren?" Zeke asked, putting down his glass of water. Eren glanced up, humming slightly. "I've got a bunch of friends coming over and I want you to meet them. They're kind of wary of new people, but I'm sure you'll get along well with them."

"Okay," Eren replied before turning his attention back to his book. Zeke sighed, glancing at the clock. The guys had been slightly wary of Zeke at the start so he had no idea how they would react to Eren. Not only that, but Eren didn't remember anything from that time which shocked Zeke though, now that he thought about it, it really shouldn't. Eren's been through a lot of trauma so it would make sense. But if that was the case, then why did Levi remember? He's been through a truck load of trauma, yet he seems perfectly fine. So why has it affected Eren so?

About twenty to thirty minutes later the doorbell rang, indicating that Zeke's friends were in. "They're here, Eren!" Zeke called as he answered the door, inviting the group in. He had already explained that Eren had no memories.

"Cool," Eren called back, still reading his book. The group made their way to the living room, Zeke shaking his head in disbelief when he saw the position Eren was in.

"How the hell did you do that?" the older brother asked, Eren just shrugged and glanced over at them. "You gonna say hello or what you anti-social little shit?"

"You're one to talk," Eren muttered, Zeke quickly taking the book out of his hands and placing it on the shelf that he knew Eren couldn't reach. Since being reborn, Eren was reborn a shorty which Zeke took great joy in teasing his little brother about. "Wha? Hey! You know I can't reach that!"

"Yeah, cause you're short." Zeke teased with a little grin. Eren glared at his older brother and went over to the shelf and pitifully attempting to reach it. Chuckling, Zeke leaned against the wall beside the shelf and just observed his brother's struggle. The others watched, shocked that Eren was so short in this life. They were used to him being 6 foot, but now he was much shorter than the captain was by a good foot and a few inches or two.

"He's so... small. How old is he, Zeke?" a man with black hair parted down the middle, Levi Ackerman, asked. Zeke smiled sadly, looking at them and mouthing 'ten'. Levi's eyes widened as he looked back at the short kid. The boy he had met when the boy was fifteen was now ten. But... why did Zeke seem so sad? "Why is that a bad thing?"

Zeke sighed, ruffling Eren's hair who looked up at him. The blonde then turned to look at the group behind him, wrapping a secure arm around his small little brother. "His father wasn't a nice man. We share the same mother, but not the same father. However, both our original fathers were shit so. He's... got a lot of trauma. Most coming from our mother."

"Yea, when Zeke turned eighteen and moved out I moved with him!" Eren chimed with a small grin.

"How come?" a brunette called Hange asked, confused.

"Our mom turned out to be like our biological fathers though she was much more manipulative and way more toxic than them, especially towards Eren. That's why I wanted him to move in with me when I moved out. It wasn't good for him to be around such a toxic person at such a young age," Zeke explained as he ruffled Eren's hair.

"You haven't introduced me to them yet, Zeke." Eren deadpanned. Zeke chuckled, nodding.

"You're right, kiddo. Eren, I want you to meet Levi," Levi smiled slightly at the kid as said kid's eyes brightened upon seeing someone as short as him. "Hange," the two grinned at each other. "Mikasa," the girl nodded at Eren though Eren moved closer to Zeke when they made eye contact. "Armin," the two waved at each other. "Sasha and Connie," Sasha and Connie grinned at a shy Eren. "and finally, Erwin."

Eren dived behind Zeke when he saw Erwin. The poor boy hadn't noticed the tall man who was at least 6 foot 2. Just looking at him struck fear into the ten-year-old little boy. It just reminded him of his father, and he didn't want to remember that. Noticing the boy's fear of him, Erwin crouched down so that he was on the scared boy's height and smiled softly at him. Eren noticed a slight difference between this man and his father – Erwin seemed kinder. But that's what Mother was like, the boy reminded himself sourly. And you know how that ended up.

"You don't need to be afraid of Erwin, Eren," Zeke murmured as he picked the scared boy up. "Erwin's not like Mother or Father, okay? Erwin a lot nicer than both of them, I can assure you of that much."

"He won't... hurt me or you like Mother and Father did?" Eren asked timidly, sparing a glance at the man who had stood back up. Zeke nodded, smiling gently before setting Eren back down and watching as he timidly walked up to Erwin and looked up at him. Erwin crouched down to his level once more and put his hands out. Eren glanced at the man's hands, glanced at his face, glanced at Zeke before glancing back at Erwin's hands and diving into the man for a hug. Erwin was shocked for a moment before hugging the traumatized child back. At least he trust me now, he thought as he stood up with the boy on his hip.

As the group and Zeke continued to talk after taking a set in the living room, he noticed how Armin was keeping an eye on him. Had he figured him out? Was Armin close to figuring him out? There was no way in hell... was there? Erwin forgot just how smart Armin was. Too smart, he thought sourly before turning his attention back to Eren. I just need to figure out how to do it, then I'll accomplish what I needed to. That way, there's no way for you to fuck anything up here even if you get your memories back. It's the perfect plan.

If Erwin had turned around to look at the blonde he was worried about catching onto his plans, he would have noticed how he was glaring so harshly at him. I won't let you hurt Eren, he thought before turning his attention back to the conversation.
