Hange sighed, glancing to where the two Jaeger brothers sat. They were luckily able to stop Eren and Zeke's plan after Eren blew up on Zeke for what happened at the festival. The brunette had found out after the whole situation that he had had to kill Zofia and Udo. During his time under cover, the youngest Jaeger boy had developed a very close relationship with the four children: Gabi, Falco, Zofia, and Udo. Anyway. As Hange watched the two messing about, she couldn't help but wondering what the two would be like if they grew up together and didn't go through the shit with their father.

"What are you sighing for?" Levi asked, sitting down next to the woman before looking over to the Jaeger brothers and being quick to catch onto her train of thought. "Ah, I see."

"I just don't get why they had to suffer and at the hand of their father no less," Hange murmured as she watched the two. "I... I want to find a way to... give them back their childhood, I guess. Or at least, something akin to it."

"What do you suggest?" Levi turned to look at the woman beside him, watching her carefully as her eyes grew wide, a smile slowly growing on her face. "You've got an idea." It wasn't a question but a statement to which Hange nodded.

"Remember when I accidently turned Eren into a baby?" Levi nodded. How could he forget? "What if we can, instead, turn them into children? With the threat of titans gone, they'll be able to have a peaceful version they can return to when things get too much for them."

"And how will they be able to tell the two apart?" Jean asked, having listened to the conversation like the rest of them.

"We'll tell them," Mikasa decided. "When they turn back to adults, we'll tell them it wasn't real. But I do have a question for you, Captain. It's slightly off topic but... why don't you call Eren 'brat' anymore? I've noticed it more in recent times."

Levi stayed silent, sparing a quick glance at Eren, and could have sworn he saw a happier version of the boy. Could it have been his imagination? Opting to ignore it, he turned back to Hange and said, "Do it," before walking off to tend to the horses. He hadn't been able to spend the time he used to with them as much anymore, what with everything being so hectic.

Hange was quick to work on the potion, taking samples from the one she used on Eren all those years ago when he first joined the Survey Corps. After five gruelling hours, she finally completed it. It's done, she thought with a giddy smile. Finally, now we can give them the childhoods they deserved. Glancing down at the notes from the first potion she made when trying to test Eren's titan powers, she couldn't help but think of a simpler time. It's late, she sighed after pulling herself from her thoughts and heading to bed.

The next morning was full of excitement for everyone but the Jaeger brothers who were quite confused as to what was going on. "Any idea about what's going on?" Eren asked as the duo sat down for breakfast. Zeke merely shrugged. All around them, soldiers young and old were whispering amongst themselves excitedly and it was starting to scare the duo ever so slightly. Their questions seemed to increase when Hange entered the room with two mugs, bringing them over to them. "What's that for?"

"I noticed you two didn't get a drink," Hange explained as she sat down after grabbing some bread. "You know how Levi will react if he found out you didn't have a drink with your morning meal." Finding no trace of a lie in the caring woman's expression, Eren shrugged and nodded before picking up his drink and downing it, Zeke doing the same. "When you're done meet us in the forest, we've got quite a bit of training to do today." With that Hange left the mess hall as Zeke and Eren started eating their food again.
