Levi squeezed his eyes shut tightly as he heard his rank title being called. "Captain! Captain, wake up! Captain!" Groaning, the man eventually opened his eyes and saw the brat that was Eren Jaeger leaning over him.

"What do you think you're doing, brat?" Levi asked after gathering his surroundings.

"I'm sorry but," Eren paused, glancing away for a second before looking back at hi captain, "you're crying."

For a split second, Levi saw the bloodied body of a dying Eren in his arms. The light slowly leaving those beautiful Caribbean blue eyes that shone so bright. For a split second, that was all he could see before blinking it away. This again, huh? Levi thought as Eren watched him in concern.

Suddenly Levi's hand shot out, grabbing the front of Eren's shirt, and pulling him down so that his back was pressed into his chest. "Ca- w-what?!" Eren stuttered. Levi ignored his questions, pressing a hand to the teen's chest and relaxing upon feeling the ba-thump, ba-thump of his heart beating. "Captain," once again Eren paused, "your dream just now-"

"Go back to sleep, Eren," the captain ordered as he felt the teen's hand find his own and give it a gentle yet reassuring squeeze.

"I won't leave your side," promised the teenager as he slowly started to drift off. "So please don't worry."

"Don't be stupid," scoffed the ravenette. As long as I can... just feeling your beating heart is enough, he thought as he, too, drifted off to sleep.

"Don't go!" Eren screamed, reaching a hand out for his beloved captain but he was just out of reach. Suddenly the jaws of the titan opened wide and in a split second he was being shoved away from his lover as he fell towards the titan's mouth. Please don't, he thought as he continued to scream, leave me alone anymore. Just then the titan's jaws slammed down, his lover's blood being sprayed in all different directions as the monster ingested his body.

Eren gasped, hand outstretched as it was in his dream. He couldn't get the picture of a bloodied Levi Ackerman falling into the jaws of a titan out of his head, it consumed everything he saw. A dream? He thought sombrely, though happy it was just that, a dream. Glancing to his left where Levi usually lay, he was glad to see the man sleeping peacefully. It was just a dream. Content with the fact Levi was sleeping beside him, Eren closed his eyes once more and fell into a peaceful sleep.
