"Let me go!" Hermione yelled at Lucius as she yanked herself away from the wall, and down the cellar where she was restrained with a heavy chain.

"Silence, Mudblood!" Lucius snarled at Hermione, aiming his wand at her.

Hermione's nostrils flared and her vision blurry with rage as she sharply stared at Lucius. Given she was almost murdered there by Draco, her confidence overflowed so that it overpowered her fear. She figured the trauma was more than enough reason to ask questions.

She swallowed the lump in her throat as she clenched her fists, desperately reaching for all the questions she buried in the back of her mind. Simply searched for the appropriate tone to use, then she remembered she owed Lucius nothing to even consider a tone in her voice. She remembered she was face to face with an enemy.

Her tone would not matter anymore. A respectful or rude tone will not matter to an enemy like Lucius. He will insult her either which tone she uses.

"So that is your secret huh?" Hermione asked with confidence lifting her above her highest clouds.

"Keeping him in here like a dirty little secret," she seethed.

Lucius' eyebrows furrowed more, staring at Hermione, incredibly caught by her sudden burst of confidence.

Lucius was silent as he blinked, processing her proud and fearless remarks.

"Since when was he like that?" She asked again as she panted, taking advantage of Lucius' silence.

Lucius chuckled as he looked down, shaking his head, simply dealing with disbelief.

"Do you hear yourself?" He scoffed, "You are in no position to ask me anything—"

"I only obey to who I belong to. And I believe I do not belong to you Mr Malfoy," Hermione answered proudly. Her eyes were firm as she fixed her challenging sight on him.

Lucius' sight transitioned from mocking to sharp and serious. The insulting smile on his face faded. His whole expression turned dark while Hermione stood firm on what she started.

"My family is out of your business," he said stiffly.

"He is a danger to everyone in case you didn't know," said Hermione as she yanked herself again.

Lucius sprinted towards her and pointed his wand directly at her right cheek, pressing it hard against her skin. His eyes were angry as he looked at her and his teeth gritted due to his emotions. Hermione on the other hand stared back at him as she continued to take deep breaths to calm herself.

"I know the order of the New Ministry, that you are not be touched by anyone else but your owner but if you keep nosing into my family's life. Remember that I can extract your magic with a wave of my wand or erase your memory and leave you here like a blank piece of paper!" Lucius said threateningly.

"Lucius," Narcissa called from behind.

Hermione's jaws dropped when she landed her eyes on Narcissa. Her nightgown was torn, and her left shoulder bled from a fresh wound that looked like she got it from some aggressive scratch. Fear rushed inside her again. She was certain it was Draco who did that to his mother.

With his eyes pinned on Hermione, Lucius took a step back as he lowered his wand, clearing the path so Narcissa could see Hermione chained to the wall.

"Cissa! What happened to you!?" Lucius ran towards his wife and she did not seem to care about her blood spilling freely from her wound.

"What did you do to my son!?" Narcissa ran to Hermione and wrapped her left hand on Hermione's neck. Narcissa's wand pointed at her head.

"Answer me!" Narcissa yelled at her as she gripped her wand aggressively.
