I ran down the hallway, giggling with excitement. Dylan was about to finish counting to ten! We made a bet: if he found me within two minutes, he'd have the bigger slice of cake. And boy, I wasn't letting that happen.
* Ready or not, here I come!
I closed the sliding wardrobe, remaining silent. Seconds became minutes... minutes became what a little child would assume to be decades. I fell asleep in the blankets neatly folded in the wardrobe...
ELIZA WE NEED TO GO! MUM AND DAD SAID THEY'D CATCH UP TO US!
We ran, we continued to run, we didn't stop. The world around us was breaking apart in war and conflict. Everything fell all around us.
ELIZA!
I fell, being knocked over hard in the head.
BROTHER!
Wait Eliza, don't mo- ELIZA!
I woke up, screaming. I was in complete darkness.
* HELP! SOMEONE HELP!
My heart was pounding... where was I?!
Dylan opened the wardrobe's door, pulling me out into a hug. He asked if I was okay, wiping my tears. What had I seen?!
* I s-saw us... running...
He reassured me it was just a dream, but to me it felt so real. Mother rushed upstairs to make sure everything was alright. Once I told them my dream, Mother took me to her study room. She casted a spell... it laid out the dream.
* This can't be...
* Can't be what?! Mother tell me!
Mother told me to return back to my room and rest, and so I did. I needed to know more about my dream...
Eliza? Eliza you need to stop this! It's getting too out of hand!
I'm doing this to make everyone happy.
You're forcing them, Eliza!
Stop.
I moved around in my sleep, it felt uncomfortable. The magic surges I was experiencing was unbearable.
Sir you must understand that I simply don't feel comfortable going on the trip.
Then you're clearly not worthy of this company.
* Mmph...
Grim?! GRIM NO! P-Please... WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? This is not a JOKE anymore EL-
I woke up, sweating. Those voices...I couldn't tell which one was me or which one was simply a fragment of my imagination. I took deep breaths, calming down. It was only 4AM, I didn't plan on sleeping any more then I had...
Morning:
I was exhausted and had a stuffy nose. A flu, one might say. Mum gave me traditional sokovian tea, it always 'helped'. While I was playing in bed, I heard an unfamiliar voice downstairs, and whoever it was... sounded sad. Footsteps became louder as it approached my room.
* Hi. 🙂
* Oh hello! Who are you?
* My name is Ellie, want to be friends?
She sounded cool! I said yes and we played for ages! Mother came in again, taking a picture of us both and giving me more tea. As she left my room, Ellie ran after her desperately. How odd. I continued to play by myself, smiling in the little roleplay I had set among my characters. The boy had to choose between his business and his family, it was intense!
This is gonna take forever! She's 6 for goodness sake, it's not like she has the brains to take notice!
Who... was saying that? I looked around, nobody.
She's so clueless, I love it!
I stood up and went downstairs, taking a step into the garden, having some fresh air.
How much are we betting she won't find out till she's 15?
The voices were annoying.
If she found out, that would be the youngest yet.
I couldn't take it, I would officially going mad!
* I can hear you, y'know...
Wait, wh-
* And it's really annoying m-
Screaming, I fell through the portal that had been made underneath me. I ended up seated around a table with... more of me?!
* You owe me a soda!
* Fine!
I looked confusingly at all of them, they all seemed to know each other pretty well.
* sorry sweetie, where are our manners? Welcome to your mind. We are you, from different times in the future. As you develop your magic more, you'll always knows about the past, present, and future. Whenever you sleep, you have the opportunity of staying here with us!
She offered me a cookie and I took one. It was delicious!
* How old are you again?
* I... I'm 6.
They looked at the clock in the middle.
* Tomorrow?
* Tomorrow.
Another Eliza held my hand and looked firmly in my eyes.
* Stay with your mother, do not change what destiny holds.
I woke up to the sound of Mother shaking me awake.
* Eliza wake up, quickly, hurry!
I jumped out of bed, sprinting downstairs. The house was starting to crumble. Dylan grabbed my hand and we started running out.
* Dylan we have to stay with Mum!
* Eliza we need to go! Mum and Dad said they'd catch up to us!
We continued to run. Those words...he had said them before...did my dream predict the future?!
* ELIZA!
I was knocked back hard in the head. My eyes went purple, everything went blurry.
* B-BROTHER!
I tried to see where I was going but everything was blurred and people!
* WAIT ELIZA, DON'T MO- ELIZA!
I put my arms forward, trying to feel my way towards him but instead, I heard the sound of a blast.
* ELIZA, STOP!
* Brother, I c-cant s-see!
I fall to the floor again, feeling extremely dizzy and weak. My brother kept on telling me to stop doing something again and again but I couldn't hear anything. I finally passed out on the ground, the noises getting louder and louder again.
She overrid the story!
Why would she do this?!
She can't see a future that isn't part of her own!
Guys calm down, she's just a child.
YEAH, a CHILD that unleashed her magic at the age of SIX.
She HAS to forget about us!
Guys give her a chance, please..
We can't risk it.
* Eliza?
Dylan tapped me again, there was a bright light.
