Eliza (Book 1)

.+* Chapter 19 - Surprise *+.

Two months had gone by...
Eliza's View:
We stared at the large computer in Grim's private room in the True Lab.

* What is that?

We started at the glitching that covered the computer. Grim laid his hand in it and he disappeared.

* What in the-
Everyone else went in, and so did I.

I opened my eyes to see purple magic swirling around me. My outfit had changed.

* What are we wearing?!
"You guys look like villains."
* Of course we're not villains!
"We're in the dark world."

The dark world..?! Like in Deltarune? Were we in a game? We went through puzzles and paths, secrets and short cuts until we reached the end.

* Is that...a glitch?

Indeed it was, but with a twist. It was ME as a glitch! We were going to fight a glitched version of me, lovely. We started to battle, blasting and fighting. But no matter how much the others tried, the glitch destroyed their every moves. I teleported away to observe the fight. After a while, I realised that the glitches used her hands a lot but never moved her legs. I knew a spell. I clicked my fingers and underneath the glitch the ground began to melt, she began to turn into a concrete statue. The others started at me.

* There won't be much time before she breaks from the spell, c'mon!

We ran into the waterfall-looking portal and ended up on the surface of the game. Finally, we could open portals! Grim explained that this 'game' was created by Gaster a very long time ago and was practically forgotten. We went back home and I grabbed my phone, seeing the thousands of missed calls from Sofia. Oops. I went outside and called her back.

* Is everything okay?
I asked her.

* I look fat...!

* I'm sure you don't, Sofia.
As Sofia spoke, Ellie came through a portal and I mouthed to her that I had ordered pizza.

* Right?

* Hm?

* I eat too much, right...that's why I'm fat in my first trimester!

* What?! Sofia there's a child growing inside of you, of course you're expected to grow!

* It's only been two months!

We talked for a bit and I sensed someone was watching me from afar.

* Hold on, Sofia..

I placed my phone down and looked around. Nothing. There was a silent but deadly feeling crawling all around me. Before I could open the door everything went purple.

* HEY!

* It's me Eliza, jeez calm down!

Celeste?

I opened my eyes and we were in a castle. Not hers I assumed.

* What are we doing here?
I looked around in awe.

* This is a private castle owned by my family. I've been staying here since I lost my family.

* Oh...I see.

She casted a spell showing another multiverse.

* But I believe you haven't been quite honest with us.

Disbelief!Eliza's View:
Her words corrupted my mind like a virus. I couldn't think, I couldn't feel, I couldn't even see with my own eyes. Her darkness tortured me so very badly. Why was this happening to me?! He was gone, vanished...disappeared...my only lifeline.

* You don't have to worry anymore Eliza, let me take over..

Ellie said as my soul started to turn pink like hers. I shook my head no and dropped to my knees. Tears ran down my face like a waterfall.

* Ellie, p-please stop! You don't have to do this...!

Her thoughts took over my own. Sure, it was a strange ease to the suffering I had gone through but it wasn't right!

Disbelief!Ellie's View:
Her magic went ahead and beyond what I had expected. Opening my eyes, the voices silenced. Purple energy swirled around me and it felt incredible! I turned around and there stood Zir, his worried face getting the best of him. Now he had power I wanted.

Eliza's View:
I blankly stared at Celeste.

* Nobody has dreams like this for no reason.

* Dreams are nothing Celeste, they're simply our imagination coming to life when we sleep.

* This isn't the first odd dream you've had. Why do you have "dreams" with different versions of yourself?

* You've been looking at my dreams?

* Don't change the subject, Eliza! How long have you known about these versions of yourself?!

Is that the princess?
Mhm, she's a smart one, I'll tell ya that.
I swear she betrayed everyone in your timeline.
Yuuuup, and now she's in magic prison.

* ...You shouldn't be looking at my own thoughts. I don't say them out loud for a reason, Celeste.

* Yes I know, and I sincerely apologise but this means something incredible!

* And what might that be?

* You can know everybody's future...you can prevent anything from the past, present AND future.

* Everything happens for a reason Celeste.

* Exactly, you would have the ability to know all these things for no reason, right? You could practically do anything...you can bring my family back...

She was missing her family, and it made sense. Losing almost everyone you loved as a child must've been so painful.

* I get you miss them, hm.

* I really do..I mean you can't watch them die traumatically and get over it overnight heh..

Eliza that princess is dangerous, stay away from her!

I gave her a hug and she accepted it. I knew how she felt...after all I lost my parents when I was just 6 years old.

Eliza we said get away from her!

I waved goodbye and teleported back home. Sofia had hung up the phone, leaving a voicemail saying she was going to have a rest. I sat down and began to plan Sofia's baby shower, she deserved one after all! When Aurora wasn't born yet, knowing that her own brother couldn't be there broke her heart but she still had to stay determined.

If only determination came in quantities, because you were about to need a lot of it.
