Eliza (Book 1)

.+* Chapter 17 - Development *+.

It had been a month with everything running smoothly, until...
Eliza's View:
I woke up, grabbing my phone and noticing the billions of missed calls from Sofia. I called her back.

* Everything alright Sofia?

* No, I don't know what to do!

* Well, what happened?

Sofia opened a portal and grabbed my hand, dragging me through. She was pacing around the living room, worryingly.

* Sofia, what's wrong??

She sat down, taking a deep breath. She grabbed the magic tester and showed it to me.

* That's not my magic.

What did she mean by- OH. Oooooooh. Right.

* Are you-?

She nodded, putting her head into a bunch on cushions.

* Well did you want-

* At first yes but.. what if more problems start?!

I sighed, typical Sofia, always worrying.

* We'll fix them like we have in the past. 😊

A week later...

Aurora's View:
I waved by to my dad as the portal closed. I'm as staying with Uncle Grim for a while since my mum 'needed some space', which I honestly didn't mind!

We all decided to go to a camping site for a few days cos why not, it was gonna be fun! Whilst Uncle Grim went to get food, my magic started to act up. Someone unfamiliar was nearby. I told the others to follow me as we walked through the deep rain with our umbrellas. We got to a mansion...an old run down mansion. Hornet walked through, not caring about what we would find inside. We all followed after quickly.

I were hurrying through when Tord bumped into someone. My eyes widened...i-it was only in the movies you'd see it.

Slender man.

'Who are you people?' He stared down to look at us.

I stepped forward.

* I'm t-the niece of Grim. In all honesty...we came here out of curiosity.

'Ah, the child he told me about. Hmph.'

* Y-Yes...?

'You people had no reason to come in here.' He started to look annoyed.

The cat stayed firmly behind Tord and they stayed behind Hornet who was behind me.

* We're sorry.

'I can't blame you, come to the dining room. I'll get some refreshments.'

It disappeared and we went to the dining room. I didn't trust any of this. After a few minutes, he came out with drinks and gave each of us one. Hornet drank theirs with no problem but there was something about it that put me off so much. At first I thought it was some sort of grape juice or berry juice but it was thicker...very slightly thicker.

* Sorry, I can't drink this.

'Why not?' He turned to face me with scary eyes.

* I could be...allergic!

His frown turned into a smile as his face glanced at everyone.

'You can't be allergic to blood. =)'

The doors to the outside lock and when I say we ran to hide...we RAN. I hid under a bed as I texted Eliza. The lights turned off and my heart raced in fear as everything went silent. When I thought I wasn't going to be found...something started to drag me out from my feet and I began to scream loudly.

* GUYS, GUYS!

I turned around, seeing the tall slender man smiling at me creepily. The others ran in, Tord blasting him away. We ran to the entrance door. We all blasted it together.

We started running in the rain, and it was pouring like a tsunami.

We were about to go through the tunnel when he was there, blocking our path.

'Where do you think you're going.'

* AAAAAAAHHHHH! RUN, I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE! 😰

We started running around.

Eliza's View:
I looked at Aurora's text and immediately teleported. A camp? Must've been one of Grim's private ones. I casted a spell to track where they were...Slender man's house? I went invisible and walked through the tunnel but at the end of it...it was blocked off. I promise the house was this way.

* HORNET, BEHIND YOU!

It was definitely this way. I stopped the rain from falling and blasting the blocked wall down. Slender man had them all in a corner, moving closer and closer. I teleported behind him and became visible.

* Ahem.

He turned around.

* What do you think you're doing?

'Wouldn't you like to know.'

* Yes that's why I asked-

Everything went dark.

Eliza just stop time and get rid of him!
Reverse it.
Control him to back off-!

Silence.
A creepy sort of silence.
The kind of silence that-

Duck.

I ducked as his hand swooped in from above, I blasted him as I yelled at the others to start running out of the tunnel. Tord blasted him, allowing me to run behind them. When I was about to get to the tunnel, Slender Man grabbed me and slammed me into a rock wall. I fell onto the wet grass...my rain resuming its falling. I heard more blasts as I passed out...

Aurora's View:
Great.

* Tord, keep slender man away.

He nodded as he started to battle again. Hornet and I went to Eliza, making sure she was alright. Just a bruise...probably a concussion but she's be fine, I was sure. Grim arrived, shocked as to what he was seeing.

"What the F% HAPPENED?" He bellowed.

We all pointed at Slender Man and he frowned.

'They trespassed.'

"So you hurt my family?" Grim stared him down.

While them two argued, the rest of us left through Grim's portal back home. So much for a camping trip. We placed Eliza down on the sofa to rest as we all rested up from quite the scare.

Eliza's View:
* She passed out!

* Oh shush, I was just trying to protect the others.

* Classic Eliza.

We were all around the table, discussing our day. It was around an hour when I gained consciousness again. I looked up to see Grim making two cups of tea. I sat up rubbing my head.

* How long was I out for..?

He turned around, passing me a cup of tea.

"Just over an hour, how are you feeling? You had a concussion."

* Yeah I'm fine besides the headache... are the others alright?

"They're alright, just gone exploring."

* Oh...ok...

"Are you SURE you're okay?" He checked my temperature.

* Yeah I'll be fine. 🙂

And I was, kind of.
