Sofia's View:
* Grim?"Hey Sofia, what's up."
Jeez he sounded exhausted.
* Have you had any sleep? You sound awful!
"Little...5 minute naps here and there."
* You need to get rest. Anyways, I called you to talk about Eliza.
"Yeah?"
* Well I was thinking about her injury...have the doctors checked her lungs?
He went silent for a moment.
"That makes no s-"
* Just trust me on this.
"Sure ok."
* We all miss you brother, Eliza will be okay...I promise.
"Thanks..."
We said our goodbyes and hang up the phone.
A week later...
Eliza's View:
Grim had gone to get coffee. I looked out the window to see the sun shining brightly in the sky. The breeze was surprisingly soft and timid.* Hey Eliza.
I jumped at the voice of the girl. I turned around to see Victoria. She was looking at me...ghost me.* You can see me..?
She nodded and sat down on the chair.
* Why else would I be baring with my parents' death better than Celeste? I can talk to them whenever I want.
* Right...what's up?
She cast a spell and showed Celeste. She was casting a spell and reading all at the same time.
* She's desperate to bring my parents back but everything has a price...
She zoomed in to see the pendant in Celeste's hand.
* That's your family's pendant, right?
* Yes, if she uses it for her own personal desires, something bad will happen.
I could see the worry on Victoria's face. All I could possibly do was give advice. Grim came in and looked at Victoria awkwardly.
* Ah Grim, hi. I was just visiting, I heard what happened.
"Yeah..thanks for visiting." He replied.
Victoria's View:
I couldn't help but try something. It could help the doctors on Eliza's case. But I needed Celeste. I casted a spell teleporting her here with her flute.* Victoria why did y-
I pointed at Eliza's sill body; she went silent.
* We're gonna play for her, okay?
Celeste nodded as she positioned her flute. I got it my violin and we nodded at one another and we began to play a duet. The room began to metamorphose. Celeste looked at me, she wanted to sing I could just tell...but she was scared. Her voice could help Eliza's recovery. I was not as good as my sister but I was determined to get her out of her comfort zone.
* The birds in the breeze...
I continued to play, she took a deep breath and stopped playing the flute.
* Are like you and me...
She began to sing and the voices in the room lit up in surprise and joy. Even Grim looked impressed! Her voice filled the room and you could tell something what happening. Eliza's right hand began to move a little bit.
But all of a sudden she stopped. Celeste put her head in her hands and began to sob.
* Celeste...? What's wrong?!
* I-I'll only hurt her!
Surely she wasn't. Eliza hand stopped moving and the magic faded away.
Eliza's View:
Everything was ghostly again when she stopped singing. Celeste was crying like the world was about to end.Why would you do that again?
You know what happened last time.Last time? Her mind was filling her with thoughts she didn't want to remember but she couldn't help it. Victoria hugged her telling her she did okay and she didn't hurt anybody. Grim looked at Celeste then back at my lifeless self.
I had to find out why her thoughts were attacking her. I reversed time to before we met Celeste. She was alone in a dark basement, banging on the door to be let out.
* LET ME OUT! PLEASE!
The screams of people running were terrifying her but her parents told her to persevere through it all. Celeste was able to break the door and she ran up. The glitching skeleton grabbed her.
[ * You think you're as normal as the citizens that run away? ]
* Let me go PLEASE! I need to be w-with my parents and s-sister!
[ * Don't worry, you'll see them now. ]
He dragged her to the throne room where the King and Queen were strapped into their thrones.
'Celeste...!'
'Celeste you need to run!'Error made Celeste face her parents. She was scared. All she wanted was her parents to be safe.
[ * Sing. This time, kill them. ]
Error grabbed the gun and put it to her head.
* F-Father I can't!
'It's ok, it's not your fault.'
Error grabbed her arm tightly...she began to sing a dark song. Her parents struggled to breathe and sure enough they dust away right there and then.
It all made sense now.
I went back to present time and Celeste had fallen asleep in her sister's arms. Grim had left the room to give them space. Victoria looked up at me.
* Victoria I think it's best if you let Celeste release her voice on her own. I know why she doesn't want to do this.
* Why then?
* It's not my news to tell.
Victoria sighed.
I knew she was going to find out soon enough.
