*5 years later*
The furious wind whipping the delicate, exposed forearm of a shaken teen. Her stomach bubbled with a dreadful nausea, and her brain felt like a punching bag. A foreign feeling began to scratch at the girls throat. Vowels clinging to her oesophagus, consonants bashing her larynx, and sweet syllables finally fleeing from the females pout.
"God damn it, Five!" were the first words to leave Echo in forty-five years. Followed by, "Shit!" and, "No!".
Echo was mad. No, she was sad. Excited? Scared? Hell, Echo didn't know how to feel. She was free from the isolation, the claustrophobia, and the Handler. But, she was physically thirteen, no home, no food, and zero mental stability.
And, Echo was burdened with the knowing of the end of times.
